Cruz is trying to win at all cost, with no principles, with no compunctions about cheating or rules much less fairness and morals. There WAS a time “Either/or” was argumentatively acceptable (not to me, but to some who had not seen the real Cruz as I did very early.) But we are WAY passed that point. Equating Trump and Cruz as an “either/or” proposition as one-—Cruz-—has long since fallen into the septic tank or sewer in his methods and lies.
Guess what! I live in Washington State and I haven’t received a single piece of campaigning material. But we got our ballots in the mail today. WA State is all mail in and I am going to mark TED CRUZ.

The other day when Cruz dropped out, I appreciated that. I took that as an honorable move.
I gave him and Cruz supporters a clean slate, and myself one too, because I have engaged in combat this primary, I admit this.
Some of those Cruz supporters were sincere, and I respect them and will continue to respect them.
Sadly, on the other hand, I have some of them doing their usual BS with their cute little names for Trump supporters, and I’m sick of it. I am absolutely sick of it. If that’s how they want to be, then they should go.
It also seems, assuming this information is true, that Cruz himself is indeed the snake he appeared to be, and that’s a shame. I was hoping I was wrong.

What I can’t understand is why you Trumpsters are still so concerned about Cruz if Trump is such a winner.

I notice Cruzers keep blackmailing the website with this financial thing. They were doing it back when they wanted all Trump supporters banned. Now that 90 percent of the forum is pro-Trump, per our caucus polling, they just settle for making obnoxious, whiny sounds about pulling their financing on the forum.

It doesn’t make sense to me. Does he think he can get more delegates by pretending to drop out? I can see him continuing to raise money to pay off debts, but why go after delegates when his suspension means he won’t likely get very many more?
The ‘official’ Cruz campaign is out of money... But his Super Pacs are still flush with cash... Cruz and Ryan’s intent from the beginning was IF need be, have the US House of Representative ‘select’ the president. This is why Ryan is always seen with that smirk on his face when asked about anything to do with 2016 presidential campaign. Presently the objective is to deny Trump the magic number 1237 delegates... Contested convention... 1976 Ford - Reagan...

Today I kept wondering if there was another shoe ready to drop...Guess there may be!
It was odd him mentioning that. It makes me wonder if that part of the speech was there in case he did better in Indiana, and then would have stayed in to hope for a contested convention.
This relates to my earlier published thoughts about what’s really going down. There seemed to be a fairly orchestrated sequence to Cruz then Kasich withdrawing, as if they believed that there was no possible point to continuing. That would be valid if they knew of a plan to create an alternate nomination and were perhaps parts of it (as in a Cruz-Kasich ticket).
I’ve come around to the view that Donald Trump is the only candidate who could beat Hillary Clinton and the only one who could make any sort of progress afterwards in terms of removing the worst effects of political correctness.
I have not gone as far as taking a negative view of Ted Cruz. I admire the commitment to constitutional adherence and yes, I recognize the irony involved in a Canadian born candidate taking that stand but I believe it is sincere and essentially pro-American. There is a qualitative difference between a man who is technically a citizen but despises America (possibly the current office holder) and another man who may technically not be eligible but who loves America. But whatever, the reality is that Trump can bring relief.
Paul Ryan is acting honorably too. He’s basically saying what many are thinking, that the questions are not fully resolved yet in terms of limited government, adherence to the constitution and separation of powers. But that doesn’t mean I suspect Trump has the wrong answers. I see Donald Trump as a sincere man who is starting from a position of patchy familiarity and understanding of all the subtleties of conservatism. He became a conservative by wanting to preserve the essence of the nation, the other details are relatively minor.
I think Paul Ryan and others will get the answers they seek. And when that happens, I hope that any plan B goes down the memory hole. At that point, it would be win-win and on to the agreed upon main task, to deny Clinton re-entry to the White House.
OK, seeing the Politico article is disturbing. He is still plotting and scheming for something. He is the type of person I’ve thought him to be for as long as I can remember. I don’t take it as proof he is trying to be the nominee this year, but it sure looks like he wants to run things even after losing. Plotting a 2020 run already? Looks like he is trying to sabotage Trump, even if he gets elected. Very disturbing.

Trump may need to re-introduce his Snake Poem back into his campaign speeches. :(
