As a general principle no conversations have involved more varied opinions than discussions about the supposed “conservative” media and their seeming cognitive dissonance when it comes to issues surrounding Senator Ted Cruz.
Some people think these voices were just hoodwinked by Cruz and now their ego won’t permit them to admit the falsehood. Others think the pundits are too close to the candidate to see the inherent issues and contradictions; some propose their punditry is connected to financial motives. Perhaps it’s a combination therein, but many people just can’t figure it out...
All of those aforementioned voices know this fact. Limbaugh, Levin, Beck and Loesch are not stupid, they know the construct of how this all came down.
You see, it takes an intentional action to ignore the truth of how Senator Ted Cruz created, supported, and advocated for Trade Promotion Authority. An advocate cannot claim a position fundamentally disconnected from reality without intentionally desiring to do so.
That’s why these pundit voices cannot be just merely making mistakes, flawed thinking, or errors in judgment. It’s not intellectual dishonesty at play here, it’s just flat out ordinary dishonesty.
Lying.

Trump sure seems to be elected to me, getting more votes than any other GOP candidate ALREADY.
So, I think there is an option 3: Trump is the real deal, bringing down this corrupt structure, and, yeah, we are deply involved.
Cruz people will simply not own up to the facts of his trade manipulation. It doesn’t matter who says it, how it is said, what facts are brought to bear - Cruz supporters are utterly deaf.
I am reluctantly and very sadly coming to the conclusion that Ted Cruz is not at all who I thought he was. I thought he was just ineffective and unpopular.
Now it appears he is deceitful, deliberate, conniving, as well as ineffective and unpopular.
I’m glad this genius, sundance, whoever he or she is, is out there to straighten the rest of us out. Without him/her, we would never be able to figure out that Trump is the real conservative, not Limbaugh, Levin, or Cruz.
It’s amazing I have been fooled all these years, until sundance came along. And now that sundance has pointed out that Cruz can’t be trusted, I suppose Mike Lee can’t be trusted either since he has come out for Cruz.
Who does that leave that we can trust as reliably conservative—Chris Christi and Trump?
Only Trump followers know truth. Everyone else is a nasty, evil, liar, the sons of Lucifer. Yes, before Trump there was only darkness.
And I’ll drink some subsidized corn ethanol to that.
They have not propelled conservatism over the last 25 years.
They have propelled conservatives to vote for people who have steadily advanced the government agenda.
Conservatism itself has had no victories by way of the GOP.
Yet still they push us to vote GOP?
Why?
There job is to keep conservatives on the government plantation.
No matter who we vote for, nothing ever changes.

I’ve listened to rush for about as long as he’s been on the air. I would have defended him to the end. He has lost me.
He took to making fun of those he disagreed with, without being honest about who he was for. He tried to say he was neutral while ridiculing Trump followers. He was on the same bank as krauthammer, wills, and Fox dudes. I was tired of hearing the slams and ridicule toward his own audience. He lost his kindness and took up rude. I don’t look forward to hearing what he has to say anymore... he showed a side I did not know he had.. and now it’s not easy to ever forget.

Mike Lee can’t be trusted because he voted for the corker Bill, same as Cruz and everyone else who voted for that.
Rush and the other hosts perpetuated the complete and utter lie that Trump supporters caused the violence in Chicago. This was a naked, blatant lie that totally exposed them for what they are. They knew damn well who those thugs were.
I think it comes from Rush’s brother David who is very religious and in the can for fellow-Evangelical Cruz. Rush knows Trump and is probably OK with him but David is adamant about Cruz’s holy destiny.
We don’t need them, we all know how to be conservative and it has nothing to do with memorizing the constitution.

She actually interviewed Trump on her show last year, early on in his campaign. I assume she got her marching orders from Beck because at some point she went from mildly-annoying MILF on the radio to full-throated TDS. That's when I had to turn her off.

I stopped listening when Rush called Rubio a “full throated conservative”. After about 3 days of him telling me how Rubio was a great conservative just like Cruz, I was done. Never been happier now that I don’t listen to talk radio anymore.
