AND NOW... amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke... it is time for... that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-The-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him - do NOT doubt him - with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A real man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do — host. Get ready to what you were born to do — listen. And post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread.

Plus, his snarky, condescending, hateful remarks about Trump and his supporters (Trumpists as he calls us) really sent me away.

Rush's confidence in the superiority of his intellect served him well till now. His failure to grasp the biggest sea change since Reagan just sunk his battleship. But he had a long run and made a lot of money. I am sure he will continue to have some sort of following. Personally I have difficulty listening to him.

I’m sickened that it has taken Rush this long to support Ted Cruz- the only conservative in this year’s republican primaries.

Ted Cruz: "I am the king of voterless states!"™

I remember the day and time that I first heard Rush. Two hours and later three and I listened when I could. He has had his low and high moments thru the years but I do not recall that he ever invested himself in one candidate while at the same time did what he could to belittle and in general undermine another valid Republican candidate.

Rush overtly helps Cruz by being selective of what is favorable to him and avoiding anything that might damage him. With Trump he gives with one hand and takes back with the other.

I think Rush is being dishonest in not being open about the Cruz campaign. Doing so would not be favorable to Cruz. For starters there is the matter of the new management of the Cruz campaign which consists of Mitt Romney and the Bush political team and resources. This is crucial for voters to know since much of this political season revolves around ousting the insider GOPe. Cruz is essentially running against himself because he cannot discount the debt he will owe to his new bosses if he became president. He has become one of them by accepting their help. There are other questions about Ted that Rush does not address and if I am misjudging the situation I would appreciate hearing the truth of the what is going on. I do not expect that to happen and am disappointed that Rush is going this road. His show is not benefiting with his current biased support of Cruz. There is more chaff than wheat these days on the program and less reason to listen much.

I have been listening to Rush since January of 1991, 25 years. Rush has had his ups and downs, but he did very well in my eyes. But this non-stop pushing of Cruz for the last few months has gotten to the point that it has resulted in him doing nothing but bash Trump. What Rush does not realize that it will be over for Cruz come Tuesday night. IN is going to Trump.

So I made the decision to take a needed break from both Rush and Mark. Will set the threads up and PING them, give out the awards, but that will be it until the primary season ends and they will both have to support Trump in order to defeat Hillary.

I wad another another long time listener from his Saramento days. I cannot listen anymore, as it is clear he has turned on his listeners. He is hostile/ rude to many of the callers. He did say one time that the listeners who left would be back because they would realize he was right. Such arrogance!
I have been reading Lame Cherry blog. Comments there re Rush have been mind boggling.
Thanks for setting up the thread.

I sure do. I was even a premium member.
And I remember Rush loving how Trump dominated the media.
I liked that side of Trump as well, but that was about it.

Rush rode it for too long and gave Trump cred.

We all know Rush does not endorse in primaries, but the stakes were too high this time not to endorse the “only conservative Cruz” right off the bat.

I did not feel that Rush was being honest about the constant conservatism he preaches by remaining on the sidelines until now when it’s just too late.

My main concern is the Supreme Court. No one other than Cruz will give us a conservative justice. Rush should have jumped on the Cruz bandwagon the day of Scalia’s passing.

Pence didn’t endorse Lyin’ Ted. Just acted miserable and said he would vote for him. People are saying it looked like he had been pressured.

Yeah, spent the first part of his speech praising Trump. Sure sounded like Pence was hedging his bet. Probably told by the RNC to forget any re-election support if he didn't do the deed.

I must be the only one that doesn't know the meaning of "gaslighting"...Any help?

Well, as we all know, flatulence contains a great deal of methane, which will burn...if you light it.

” and wonder like I do why the hell Trump accepted Tyson. “

Those two go back to the 1980s when Trump hosted some of Tyson’s bouts. Trump treated Tyson and his family with respect and that has stuck with Tyson.

Fair enough
I’m an annual payer too though put out with him now

He doesn’t endorse and he tries to stay relative to everyone which pisses off Cruz people

But it’s obvious to me he favors Cruz and that’s fine

He and his brother who is actually virulently critical of Trump

However both are on record as NOT #nevertrump

Rush should have jumped on the Cruz bandwagon the day of Scalia’s passing.

Would not have mattered.

Mr.Cruz is solely responsible for his poor showing, not Rush, Not Levin, and dare I say, not even Mr. Trump.

The dude has no vitality.

What he says he will do matters not if he cannot convince majorities to see his way.

No republican has gotten the majority vote in this year’s primaries overall.

The anti-Trump voters will feel just as disenfranchised as the Trump voters.

Cruz polls equal or better to Hillary.
Hillary is eminently beatable by just about anyone.

If Trump can convince three of twenty black voters that he will bring jobs back the election is over.

I agree. It wouldn’t have mattered in the case of Cruz succeeding. But it does matter to me in terms of Limbaugh’s authenticity as a conservative. This year was not a year for straddling despite the subliminal messaging toward Cruz by Rush.

It is solely because of Obama that this country yearns for a strongman like Trump. He has won despite himself. He himself has said he entered the race to better his brand not to become president. Week after week he has tried to eliminate himself with outrageous comments, but America won’t let go of him.

I see a little piece of spinach in between your teeth.

The comments are only outrageous to those who believe otherwise.

others believe that he does not go far enough.
