largest oil reserves in the world ( I think), nationalized, and run by politicians who ran the country into the ground in less than 15 years. What a waste.
That’s pretty much the story of post WW II American diplomacy.
Communists are like roaches. Once in they are hard to get rid of.
They should take out their leaders and their thugs.
Let me tell you something about Americans my friend, They’re a wonderful, friendly people, as long as their bellies are full and their tvs are working. But take away their creature comforts, deprive them of food, sleep, hot showers, put their lives in jeopardy over an extended period of time and those same friendly, intelligent, wonderful people... will become as nasty and as violent as the most bloodthirsty Muslim.
LOL, DJ, Bill, tell me you get that reference!
To answer your question, if Americans were starving and the power grid goes down, yes, I could see major rioting.
Hillary’s world vision also.
“...Could this happen here?...”
Of course.
Look at Ferguson, Baltimore, Watts, LA, etc. Take your pick, any city.
The difference is, they’re disarmed down there, by their communist government.
There WILL be bullets flying here.
YEP
“Socialism AND Death” - that’s the ticket!
I believe that was derived from Quark’s describing humans to his nephew on Star Trek: DS9.
YES, BUT THEY ARE STILL GETTING FULL PAY! SO NO!
The way I see it, the less time they have to pass pork laden legislation, the better off everyone, with the exception of lobbyists, is. It's like paying worthless, lazy and incompetent teachers to sit around all day in empty rooms because it impossible to fire them. The oath legislators are required to take should end with FIRST DO NO HARM. But alas, they will either forget it or violate it within seconds of taking it.
You got it. In my opinion, it was one the best scenes ever in Star Trek.

I think DS9 is my favorite one. It gets away from Roddenberry’s utopian socialist BS. The libtard federation is forced into a war of self-defense against a fanatical foe. They got away with it because the morons that were in charge of Star Trek were focusing most of their attention on Voyager.
