Someone in another post remarked that part of it has already happened here - lot of people in D.C. only work the equivalent of two days a week now, if that.

Coming to America. Already here in Detroit and Flint

Fixed.

Didn't fix it more, just tweaked it a bit.

I would be happy to pay Obama double if he would just take the rest of his term off. I’d even pay him out of my own pocket.

That is exactly the argument that the defenders of Communism always make — “they didn’t get the recipe right.” They refuse to accept the fact that there are fundamental problems with Communism and that it will always fail and always very dramatically with millions murdered and millions more starving to death.

You might blame it on only having one dam to power things, or poor planning, or poor maintenance of other power plants or government corruption.

But, I imagine obama is already planning a trip down there to stand by the empty reservoir and blame global warming.

I feel very sorry for the good people who hated the whole Chavez regime. I wish there had been no intervention when the military executed the coup in 2002 and then were talked into relinquishing power back to Chavez, only for Chavez to summarily execute the military man in charge of the coup.

The Bush Administration gave tactic approval of the coup and then refused to support the coup leaving them high and dry to flitter in the wind.

Bernie’s World, where, according to another article on Venezuela, one-third of the working population are government employees. Bernie’s world, indeed.

It can’t sustain itself and is doomed to collapse.

Venezuela would be better served if Penn, and his idiot fellow travelers Danny Glover, Oliver Stone and Kevin Spacey, were to unload a sizable portion of their personal fortunes on the people. But we all know how far their love of that country extends...

They need to start slaying communists. They need to start killing off their rulers.

Communists are so doctrinaire they cannot see the truth surrounding them. Looting to get food from the government for your family gets a pass from me.

Is there a Venezuelan Ferfal chronicling the preactical effects of this on normal people as another socialist paradise implodes?

“Maybe a big coal fired rig or three? “

They have lots of low grade crude that burns fine for boiling steam.

I see Cuba, Venezuela, and the other banana republics went to the aid of the earthquake victims in Ecuador. Its really impressive how these people hate the US and help their neighbors.

If he runs against Trump I doubt it but if Hillary gets in G-d help us and it’d be the same thing. Free everything. Just like prison.

Let 'em burn it down! It's already a de facto dictatorship. The only reason I've ever met any Venezuelans or Columbians is, their parents (or their father) were professionals (doctors, etc) and fled with their families from the drug cartel turf wars and the rise of the dictatorship in V. Thanks daisy12.

There will be blood in the streets soon. Rioting for food, toilet paper and beer. And this guy in charge thinks that having government employees working two days a week (over a million of them) will save electricity that shuts down for four hours a day?
