Despite all of the pundits declaring Trump the nominee following tonight's results, he will face a much tougher road ahead than they want to admit.

I really agree with you that we Conservatives tend to hold our own internal bitchfests, while our elected masters laugh behind our backs.
The reality is that the NE belongs to Trump. Folks have rejected Cruz.
Levin has really turned into the gov’t prototype propagandist talking head that CNN/NBC/ABC/CBS have been using for decades.
Levin is saying the exact thing Rush said today.
Rush goes on about how “Cruz is the only conservative” and that “Cruz is the only real outsider.” Rush says he’s not for a candidate, but he calls Trump’s apparent tactic of lying about how Cruz wins delegates as being made for “low information Trump voters” (as stated in Rush’s first hour today). Rush continues to be at wit’s end over how Trump can get this meme going on Cruz when Cruz is just doing what he always planned—get delegates to win, because Cruz was fearful he would be up against the GOPe and not Trump (again, Rush’s 1st hour today).
I don’t think Cruz is a bad guy at all. But this country needs someone who won’t hide for fear of becoming roadkill (Cruz’s own words about why he didn’t push back against Trump earlier) and won’t always glom onto the non-PC positions until after Trump takes them.
We don’t need a Beta male as another dang president at this time! Go Trump!

Don't get me wrong. I will be voting for Trump if he is our candidate. But I understand the difference between campaign rhetoric and actual governing.
They always say the words people want to hear, to get elected. Then he will govern as he must. We can hope, but I believe Trump will negotiate a middle road, and the band will play on.
Lol...I was listening to an interview that Jebito's campaign honcho Mike Murphy did with David Axelrod of all people and he explained the GOPe perspective on Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. Quite simply, the elites don't think the GOP can win the Presidency in 2016 and they'd rather lose with Cruz so they can go back to running moderate candidates in 2020.
Poor Ted...all his new friends don't really like him so much after all.

He concedes after Indiana, if he is even mentally and emotionally fit to do so.
Otherwise, he self destructs personally, as well as his career in elected office.
Saw the Trump presser in bits and pieces because I had struggled to get a video feed. Overall, it does look like Trump is ready to go into general election mode.
Cruz should call it quits after tonight for the sake of unity and to take the fight to Hillary.
