Trump relentlessly mocks Kasich: 'I have never seen a human being eat in such a disgusting fashion'

Donald Trump relentlessly mocked Ohio Gov. John Kasich's campaign-trail eating habits on Monday.

During a rally in Rhode Island, the Republican presidential frontrunner said that the Ohio governor should learn from Trump's children, whom Trump has urged to eat modest portions of food.

"Did you see him? He has a news conference all the time when he's eating. I have never seen a human being eat in such a disgusting fashion," Trump said of Kasich.

He continued: "I'd say, 'Children, small, little bites.' This guy takes a pancake and he's shoving it in his mouth. It's disgusting. Do you want this guy for your president?"

Trump's critical view of Kasich's eating comes less than a day after the governor announced an alliance with Sen. Ted Cruz to consolidate anti-Trump voters in the remaining primary states. Kasich canceled campaign events in Indiana, where public polling shows that Cruz could take home a portion of the delegates, while Cruz has promised not to seriously campaign in Oregon and New Mexico.

After a brief detour in which he criticized Kasich's support for the North American Free Trade Agreement in the 1990s, Trump returned to insulting Kasich's eating habits.

"I've never seen a guy eat like this," Trump said.

Kasich has recently made headlines for his healthy appetite at campaign stops, scheduling press availabilities during appearances at delis and diners. On Monday, he discussed his anti-Trump alliance with Cruz during a campaign stop at a Philadelphia diner.

Hillary is the worst, hot dogs... corn etc.

Hillary has the teeth for it.
She can strip a cob of dried field corn faster than an industrial corn sheller.

You nailed it!

What an embarrassment that would be as the head at a state dinner, he’d have spaghetti all down the front of his tux.

Too bad they aren’t talking about issues.

You're right. I bet that during the hour long rally, Trump talked just about Kasich's wolverine eating style. /s

What you read was an excerpt from the rally. Nice try, but it's pretty much over. Cruz is done. Only you and he can't see the writing on the wall.

I have never seen a human being eat in such a disgusting fashion," Trump said of Kasich.

Criticism of one's eating habits should be left to the parents.....

As time goes by and his statements become more outrageous, more and more am I thinking that Trump's campaign is a charade............

Too bad they aren’t talking about issues. Now that would be shocking.

Actually, Trump right on point. He (Trump) is often accused of not being Presidential (whatever the hell that means!). Kashich eats like a slob. Critical issue if you're going to be President. Do you remember when George H.W. Bush barfed on the Asian dignitary. Very unpresidential. So, eating habits do matter. Lots of state dinners, and all that.

And Trump cheated on his first with his second. And his second with his third.

Guess that makes hime a Reagan using your logic. Heck a couple more wives and he’ll be perfect.

It was meant to be silly. I saw the speech, and I thought Trump was absolutely hilarious. The audience ate it up. I especially liked the story about his 10-year-old son, Barron, pointing to Kasich eating on television and exclaiming, “Daddy, look!” And Trump responded, “Don’t watch!!!” like his son was seeing something horrifying.

The Collusionists have unleashed the Rally Trump.

LOL. I like that. A nice turn of phrase. "1 for 51" Kasich doesn't know what he's started.

That’s why I call Cruz “Edward the Third”. He’s not even going to be second anywhere from here on out.
