Ted Cruz's cowardly anti-transgender stance
The Chicago Tribune ^ | April 25, 2016 | Rex Huppke

Ted Cruz is a coward.

He's other things — a GOP presidential candidate, a senator from Texas, possibly the Zodiac Killer (Google it) — but most of all, and most unquestionably, he's a coward.

A coward mocks what he doesn't understand. A coward seeks political gain by maligning others. A coward talks about North Carolina's controversial bathroom law, which requires transgender people to use the restroom that matches the gender on their birth certificate, by saying this at a Sunday campaign event: "If Donald Trump dresses up as Hillary Clinton, he still can't go to the girl's bathroom."

Hah! The crowd laughed and thought it was a stitch because, naturally, all transgender women look like Trump in a pantsuit, right?

Wrong.

Not just wrong, but offensive. And not just offensive to transgender people, offensive to any American who thinks denigrating transgender people is repellent...

So you support the mentally ill who mutilate their bodies?
Will you be taking your daughters or grand daughters to Target this weekend to let them mingle in the bathroom with 50 year old men?

Because that's what this is about. Utter sickness and depravity.

Not 99%; but 100% of posters here would be strongly against this crap if it hadn't made it into the Presidential campaign.

Now some are saying (to support their candidate); “well maybe its ok; we have a lot bigger issues to talk about”

REALLY??? Are people selling out their principals for one candidate? Wrong to do.

Well, I think a lot of these things need to be looked at for the intended context. Not every problem is susceptible to a quick quotation. Dominical (Jesus) statements require a particularly intense puzzling through because they are tests as to whether we understand the context.

Odds are, the “gay” and related people are not at all happy and if there was some reason for them to put their customary defenses down, they might listen to the evangelium, the good news. The devil has tricked them into sinning in this manner; now we ought to try not to further the trick by imagining ourselves superior rather than “luckier” (in a proverbial sense, strictly speaking but for the grace of God there go I).

The sin of Eden was universal — believe it. The devil has tricked us all in some fashion.

I’m curious whether Target toilets will even be targeted (so to speak). It would be an interesting sociological observation to see if they are.

Like 99% of retailers, Target doesn’t police their rest rooms anyhow unless someone makes a fuss. Will Target’s statement suddenly cause Target to be a special mecca for the perverted set. I can’t say for sure, but my hunch is — probably no. Discount department stores are not the “appropriate” genre for it. Seedy bars and the like are the “appropriate” genre.

It’s not the reality, but the idea, that is not sitting well with a society that sees itself in a sexual crisis.

Exit polls prove Trump does NOT get more evangelical votes

Exit pools prove does NOT get the majority of Republican votes. The most in the states he won, but not the majority.

In all votes from all states combines Trump barely receives 38% of republican votes.

This is the republican party, AKA, club. Trump is ignorant of the rules and will lose

I knew one too, a divorced friend’s friend. Plucked eyebrows, girlish hair. Big tall guy. Just did not fit.

So you’re fine with men in the little girl’s restrooms?

SERKIT, I agree with you on this issue.

Why do so many people think Trump should step right into the Left's carefully laid minefield?

"Conservatives" ran around shrieking like their hair was on fire and Ted jumped right in thinking he could gain some political points by doing exactly what the Left wanted Trump to do.

Initially, almost everyone was unhappy with how Trump answered the question, but he defused the issue and didn't lose a single voter that was never going to vote for him anyway.

Cruz on the other hand, couldn't resist the urge to take up the fight and the only voters that are standing by him are the ones he already had.

In the end, Trump will end up not losing as many votes on this issue as Cruz will.

There are so many other ways to deal with issues like this besides vowing to add another law to the federal register.

Why can't people see that the Leftist's go out of their way to set these "no win" traps, and "conservatives" just can't wait to jump right in.

No wonder we lose all the time.

My bad, a paraphrase with quotations.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

They both say essentially the same thing.

Problem solved.
