Question re: Cruz/GOPe poaching delegates?

Posted on 04/19/2016 7:48:13 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

I heard Cruz saying tonight that he has "conservative activists" working the delegate to woo them over to his side. Is this true? Isn't it much more likely that the GOPe insiders are working the delegates? They control the party apparatus, not conservative activists.

There are variations of conservatism.

There is the nationalist model, the traditionalist model, the populist model.

I would say Trump is a populist.

His views would be welcome on FR.

Or don't you consider FR conservative?

Cruz is conservative

Trump is anticonservative

I am sure you believe that.

“But do NOT trash the system just because your guy is pathetic. He should have figured out how to win. Any effective leader does.”

Trump is a leader. And he will win. Cruz is not a leader. He is a leech. He stuck himself to Trump’s shoe like toilet paper in the beginning until Trump beat most of the contenders. Cruz copied Trump’s platform even using Trump’s own words. Instead of Cruz, Trump took the tens of millions of dollars of GOPe negative ads targeted for the leading ‘outsider’. Trump survived. I doubt Cruz would have. Now Cruz, unable to mathematically win the nomination, is the GOPe anti-trump candidate and that is all he is. Weak, pathetic Cruz is every bit an insider that he says he’s fighting against and his supporters act like fanatic cultists.

Whoa! I did -not- know that! I smelled spook construct in everything about these Consistently Creepy Cuban Canadians, but I did NOT know that. Thanks for the correction. I see your point. I’m of the opinion this entire ‘Dominionist’ perversion of Christianity is a neocon vehicle for globalism and more military aggression.

I know it hard to not watch the flashy Kardashian campaign 24/7, it is so mesmerizing, but it will be a good brain exercise for you to think about the problem before you. Let’s see, if DONEald is on the 55, then Cruz must be on his __ yard line.

Have a hard time visualizing a football field? How could I know something as simple as this could be so confusing to the Trumpbots? Psst, because Donald told us so.

Watching Trump is very much like a Twilight Zone episode.

Thank you.

Romney is one of the most dishonest people alive today. His 2012 network revealed a pattern of behavior that is intolerable to a platform founded on honesty and ethics. Romney’s tactics are more in league with the Clintonistas than with the Party of Ronald Reagan.

Over time, the Romney pattern repeats and reveals itself but it is low profile to newcomers who more often than not are unable to discern it.

Once the Trump Campaign is able to wrest control of the GOP from its Romney operatives, a house cleaning needs to take place. There can be no ‘unity’ with Romney’s network unless it is a very short term for the general. After that, they have to go.

In CO and WY, registered Republicans voted at precinct caucuses for precinct delegates.

Not true. In Wyoming 900 people voted. There was no popular vote inn Colorado.

No. In Wyoming, it was the thousands of registered Republicans at the many precinct caucuses, who voted for the 900 delegates, who then voted for the national delegates.

The same thing occurred in Colorado.

You'd better take a serious look at the candidate's demonstrated values that you are supporting.
They are NOT Christian !

“You’re electing Satan, if you’re voting in support of tRUMP .”

AH...another good Christian Cruz supporter. Shame on you. A vote for Cruz is a vote for Hillary....CRUZ can’t win and obviously you’d rather have her. That kind of thought is as frightening as the Taliban.

Cruz was BORN IN CANADA...did you notice???

A Cruz rep was on one of CNN/MSNBC shows last night and came out and said that Cruz had started working state party insiders from the day he was elected Senator. By going to every RNC "Lincoln Days" events he could and meeting the organizers. [His dad and wife also pounded the LD circuit}.

Cruz may have convinced himself he had won the presidency before the primaries even started, voters be damned, and all he had to do was go through the motions. But the Trump Train rolled into Grand Central Station and has upset the apple cart.

That could be why Cruz is in such arrogant denial now - and why some insiders, who politically must be 'seen' with a winner, are running for cover, leaving Cruz without an umbrella in the rain. It was a game Obama could win, but Cruz can't.
