Jim, “and will deceive many” pretty much sums up Ted Cruz. The spirit of the Anti-Christ is strong with that one.

I would be talking to local delegates if I was one. It is more likely he had supporters who are helping him.

As a local delegate we come with our own slate for the election. We bumped about 75% of the established delegates out locally and replaced them with Trump and Cruz supporters. It is just a matter of talking to them.

Not only that but a lot of these 75% were active in other local groups like Tea Party and 9/12 groups. Much easier to get them to your side if you already meet with them.

I think there are establishment people who claim to be Cruzers to get to the final delegate selection round at the local level.

I presumed he meant "party activists", which we all know, no matter where we live,
are the die-hard official Republican Party Guys", and so they would be Establishment.

I cannot speak for Colorado. I can speak for the 3rd district in Georgia. The same convention that approved a Trump slate also voted a resolution to censure Sen. Nathan Deal over his vetoing of the Religious Liberty act and oter various betrayals. There was NO presence of the Chamber of COmmerce types. The lead Cruz delegate, Katie Frost, is from a major conservative family in the northern end of the district. Her brother gained a little notoriety when he was a delegate in 2012. When the new rules were put in, and he was going to vote for Ron Paul, he refused to vote at all, rather than vote for Romney. This is an in-house, non-Establishment on both sides competition ... two parts of the same family. If there are Establishment moves, you might have to look closer to Atlanta.

There is winning elections, which Donald Trump has been doing convincingly. Attracting massive crowds, throughout America. Big time winner.

Donald Trump is clearly winning in that contest.

Then there is manipulating the GOP system to inject ones own favorites, completely ignoring voters. This impacts the GOP results. It does NOT WIN THE ELECTION.

Ted Cruz seems far better at that, than Donald is.

I strongly opine, that Trump is far, far more qualified, and will win in an election against Hillary.

Big win. Cruz will be creamed.

“it much more likely that the GOPe insiders are working the delegates?”

I agree. That is the most likely scenario.

Anything, to stop Trump. And the GOPe already sold out to the Dems for a Hillary presidency.

See:

A someone who has been involved with politics in both California and Iowa the huge majority of the GOP activists are Conservatives. They are the “base” of the party. Many Trump supporters can't fathom that any conservative doesn't love Trump so they feel better calling them GOPe.

I heard Cruz saying tonight that he has "conservative activists" working the delegate to woo them over to his side.

That is the way it is done and there is nothing nefarious about it. I think that a lot of people who have never worked a phone bank or volunteered for a campaign have a hard time wrapping their heads around what conservative activists do in a campaign. First of all, they are not paid. If they have been helping candidates for a number of years they will know the delegation. This is very important when helping a candidate you support.

There is such a thing as disenfranchising voters. That is what cruz is doing, and also why he is losing big time.

That is a very astute observation. The Cruz team has now been completely infiltrated by GOP insiders. They are claiming that they have a better “ground game”. But in Wyoming it has come out that Cruz spent very little. To me this means that the GOP threw this fixed voterless contest to Cruz. The GOP leadership was flexing its muscle as a demonstration to Trump. Cruz didn’t have that much to do with it.

It is waaay past time when Cruz can claim he was something other than a sellout to the GOPe. He should be ashamed of himself!

Can I get you some cheese to go with that whine? Perhaps Mr. Trump should’ve studied the rules or hired someone to do that. If he loses in Cleveland, that’ll be why.
