Question re: Cruz/GOPe poaching delegates?

Posted on 04/19/2016 7:48:13 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

I heard Cruz saying tonight that he has "conservative activists" working the delegate to woo them over to his side. Is this true? Isn't it much more likely that the GOPe insiders are working the delegates? They control the party apparatus, not conservative activists.

I’ll offer a reason Cruz should stand down.

Cruz said, if a candidate couldn’t win his home state with 50% or more, that candidate should step down.

Cruz is the only standing candidate who hasn’t won his home state by 50% or more.

Under the Cruz Rule, Cruz should end his campaign.

So you are trusting uber crooked Hillary Clinton? The Clinton family is a very crooked organization so I wouldn’t discount ANYTHING they could possibly do.

But continue to put your trust in Hillary Clinton and continue to expose yourself.

Roger Stone co-founded an organization called "Republicans for Choice" dedicated to ridding the Republican party's pro-life plank. That plank is the foundation and edifice of all the social issues important to true conservatives.

He has worked really hard with Karl Rove to get rid of all the grassroots Republicans trying to safeguard life since 1989.

Roger Stone is a menace and for Trump to garner his advice really says a lot.

I can only see one of two things happening at this point.

Either Cruz and Kasich demonstrate that they are honorable men, and they leave the race and ask the party to unite behind Trump.

Or they stay in the race, both being unable to secure 1237 delegates, and bring the party to a contested convention where the nomination will go to someone with less delegates than Trump, which will tear the party apart, ensure a Democrat win, and will likely also cause a loss of the senate and the house, which will be a disaster for America.

I personally do not think that Ted Cruz and John Kasich are honorable men, in fact I think that they are both dishonorable men.

I hope they prove me wrong.

Trump is a "Trojan Horse" just waiting to unload all his Democrat Socialists into our government.
You'd might as well support the Liar Marxist that the Democrat Establishment6 favors, or the Unashamed Communist from Vermont.

Return to the Constitution, and the Bible, for the Constitution is FOUNDED UPON the Bible.

Trump said Hillary would make a good president

Not me.

I’ve never suggested that to anyone at anytime

True that. Rules are either to be broken or ignored. And if that does not work complain that you are being gipped.

And most conservatives would like the chance to vote for their candidate of choice, too.

Frank Luntz asked Donald Trump to name some things for which he had ask forgiveness. Your answer allows us to keep asking for specifics. It also indicates that you have not actually accepted YHWH’s forgiveness.

Trumps answer only allowed the Pharisees to grumble about his not asking for forgiveness, when all of us True Christians know that his, as well as our sins, have ALL BEEN FORGIVEN when we accepted Jesus as our Savior and Lord! And that if YHWH has already forgotten them, we can forget them as well.

Yes! But in places like Colorado and Wyoming there was no vote by the people at large. So in those examples the voters did not get to even vote for delegates.

A someone who has been involved with politics in both California and Iowa the huge majority of the GOP activists are Conservatives. They are the “base” of the party. Many Trump supporters can't fathom that any conservative doesn't love Trump so they feel better calling them GOPe.

I was raised a South Dakotan broken glass conservative. My earliest memory is my grandparents taking me to a rally at age 4 to see Barry Goldwater.

I've been a conservative my whole life so your argument doesn't hold water.

Let me turn it around. Many Cruz supporters can't fathom that any conservative (that) doesn't love Cruz so they call them liberals, progressives, et. al.

We don't pass the Cruz purity test in your book. I "am" the base, or was. The GOPe are the people that control the party that gave us McCain and Romney. They are trying to control 'the game' now to deny Trump with Cruz's delegate machinations.

Pheeeww! It has nothing to do with conservatism. It's about playing the game for Lyin' Ted and maintaining their grasp on money and power. Ted's part of the machine. Face it.

“The Spirit of the Anti-Christ is strong in Ted Cruz because he got it from the Bushes.”

I would disagree on the provenance; he got it from his cultish, weird dad. Stabby the Clown didn’t do him any good either. But clearly, as demonstrated by the stage prop prayers during which he taught his wife and daughters that pretended piety is OK for social deceit, he has absolutely no fear of God. “Ted” (not his real name) Cruz will not end well, absent some serious repentance.

Ping to SaveFerris because Stabby the Clown.

Thanks. I don’t really know what’s up with TC in those areas.

I know GB is terribly-deceived by old Joseph Smith, though.

65,000 republicans voted in Colorado

Why should they be disenfranchised?
