You know who’s going to hit up the all-you-can-eat fries, don’t you? School kiddies who come in after school, starving as a result of their Moochelle Obama healthy sustainable school lunch.
[Nah, theyll just bring the food to you. Hardees/Carl Jrs has been doing it for a while.]
Chick Fil A does that too.
As does Culver’s

Trying to compete with Whataburger?
“Once youve placed your order, you can find your seat because well bring it out to you.”
McD is going to start making fries at that one restaurant?? I mean, they haven’t made fries anywhere else for years.
Carl’s Jr has table service:
You order at the counter. They give you a number which you put on the table. The person who took your order brings your food to you.
I never leave a tip for that kind of table service.
I should be McDonald’s CEO.
1) Use real beef patties, not 80% soy burgers
2) Use quality ingredients
3) Stop trying to cheat the customer at every turn
4) Little bigger everything
5) Bring back the Hamburglar
Chick-Fil-A does that as well. With a “My pleasure” instead of a “No problem” when you say thank you. Top o’ the heap when it comes to quick service places, IMHO.
cardiologists are celebrating
All they really need to do is put the beef fat back in the deep fryer. The rest of their stuff is mostly cr@p.
The McD’s that I used to stop at occasionally now has a complex, more costly menu and the food has gone down hill (and there wasn’t that much room to do that).
Of all the fast food hamburger joints McDs makes the worst hamburger. Absolutely the worst!!!
I agree - frankly I cannot understand how they can stay in business if that trend continues - too many better options.
And cops are buying up riot gear...
“All-you-can-eat fries?”
They already serve all the fries I can eat. It’s called a “small”.
"Maybe people are just starting to figure out what a rip off fast food really is. When I used to stop at fast food places I would regularly spend $12 or $13 and still feel hungry afterwards.
I found a local restaurant near where I work. I usually get bread, butter, crackers, chicken dumpling soup, a salad, 2 giant walleye fillets (real walleye not Pollock), carrots and broccoli with snow peas, my choice of "potatoe" (in this case spaghetti with meat sauce is my preferred choice), and a dessert (usually I choose strawberry shortcake or warm rice pudding with cream), and I get all of that for $10.50. [Substitute fried chicken and mashed potatoes and the price is $8.50]
It takes less time than at a fast food place, no time to wait if I call ahead to take it to go.
The employees at my local aren't jerks.
So at my local restaurant I get 5 times the quality of food and far more of it for much less cost in less time from people who don't aggravate me.
There is just no reason to buy fast food. "
Regardless of how often they randomly stack their low quality ingredients in a different order and give it a different name, the core of the problem will not be addressed any time soon by McD leadership.
Once upon a time the food was fast and cheap enough that most other concerns could be ignored just to fill up.
There is nothing fast about their food. There is nothing cheap nor is there anything satisfying from taste, nutrition, quality, or volume perspective on the menu that would justify the increased prices.
Also, to this situation where I have to get my own drinks, napkins, and other things: Why would I go to MCD for low grade ingredient self serve when I can get the same in larger volume with a more diverse food selection and lower price and fill my gas tank in less time and still eat in my car at the local minimart? (We have Kwik Trip here.)
Like too many American companies, especially the fast food industry, there is obviously too much focus on quarterly reports and not enough on long term gains. This isn't 1960 and the competition has changed. The consumers have changed. They cant keep claiming to be everything to everyone and yet deliver nothing to anyone. It is time for McD, and this goes for all fast food really, to refocus and deliver what is promised to their selected segment of the consumers.
Yes, both Chick-Fil-A and In-N-Out Burger (sadly, only in the Western US) are great with customer service.
McDonalds is fine....you know exactly what you’re getting no matter where you are....its consistent and its cheap....superior to BK and I won’t go to a Jacks or a Carls if you paid me, only because I hate their adolescent low intelligence type of ads...
