McDonald's is opening a restaurant in Missouri that's unlike any other McDonald's in the country.

The new 6,500-square-foot location in St. Joseph will offer all-you-can-eat french fries, customizable desserts, sandwiches, and burgers, as well as table service, The St. Joseph News-Press reports.

The ketchup pump is always empty at McDonald’s and you get snarky looks when you ask for it at the drive tru

They might finally be realizing why they’re losing the quick service wars. Their industry has undergone a revolution and they’ve been left behind on quality and service.

“There really are hundreds of different choices to build the burger of your dreams,”Chris Habiger, the franchisee who is building the restaurant, told the News-Press. “Once you’ve placed your order, you can find your seat because we’ll bring it out to you.”

They just tore down a McDonald’s in my neighborhood that has been there for at least 40 years. They are rebuilding it and it will be interesting to see what they do with it. I can tell by the foundation that has been poured that it will be totally different.

Also a few days ago they started to demolish the Taco Bell in the same area. That will be rebuilt into a newer type of Taco Bell.

Table service at Mc$D? Meaning waiters and waitresses? Then we need to leave a tip? What the heck?

I like a good burger as much as anybody. But build the burger of my dreams starting with the standard McD burger as the base??? Well, I certainly have no interest in that. See how the market responds to this.

Their fries are disgusting anyway. I prefer Whataburger fries or even Raising Canes fries.

You have to be from Texas to know what Whataburger is all about.

You can have table service without full on waiter and tips. Go to Sauce.

Unlimited fries?

Try Red Robin (Yumm!)

Went there last Sunday - the fires are PERFECT!

Hadn’t been to RR in a while. Was kinda surprised to see how expensive they now are. No matter - they are a gourmet burger place. And the value for the money is good.

And did I mention? The unlimited fries are PERFECT!

This is happening because McDonalds sales have been in the toilet for a long time. The old model isn’t working anymore. People view their food as unhealthy, fairly or unfairly. They have to jazz up the locations like this to pump up business.

Nah, they’ll just bring the food to you. Hardees/Carl Jr’s has been doing it for a while.
