"It was highly unusual, but the Republicans denied him a “sufficient second” that would have allowed him a roll call vote. Then, Cruz’s Republican colleagues loudly responded “no” when Cruz sought a voice vote." And there's what Cruz's fellow Senators think of him.

I appreciate that at least he votes sometimes while running for office.

So we’re supposed to dislike Ted Cruz because he is staunchly pro-life?

I can support Cruz trying to force the other Senators to go on record to support or oppose abortion funding.
Still think that he’s a bad choice for the nomination, though, and I still don’t trust him.
However, at least I can support this action.

This is a problem with a sitting Senator running for another office. His actions become Kabuki theater.

Not at all, some one posted a Ted the warrior being treated like a victim thread.

Republicans ignored Cruzs attempt to disrupt Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnells efforts to fund the government without attacking Planned Parenthood. This incident demonstrates that Cruz would not have the support of his party if president.Wait a minute -- that sounds like a plug for Cruz!

And hence is a danger. Would a Senator do something different if he wasn’t trying to show what a hot shot president he would be? Maybe. Senators have different perspectives from presidents.

“But gaining the support of fellow conservatives.”
Guess you don’t read the nightly results of the FR Caucus. The Cruze supporters are down around 25, while the Trump folks are at 150. So I’d say that your understanding of “fellow conservatives” needs some “rethinking.” Decorum here prevents me from ascribing what I think about your comment in more “detail!”
I guess since you’re a Texan, you are still trying to find out about dildoes!
