50 states with 50 rules.

Shouldn’t you be hiring the “Best and the Brightest” beforehand and not afterward?

Even if you think you are the smartest guy in the room, shouldn’t you read the rules of all 50 states, and decide the best course of action for your own campaign?

Is Donald Trump seriously running for President, or just running to point out the flaws, as they come up?

Crying about a rigged system now just sounds like the Occupy Wall Street crowd.

“LOL - Trump NEVER tires of “signaling” a forthcoming lawsuit. Actual follow-up lawsuits: not so much.”

Trump is ALL BLUSTER AND NO ACTION...

I’ve observed a number of primary seasons and this is the first time I’ve ever heard people so caught up in how various states do it.

In the past, we just accepted how states did it and went on.

Donald. Donald. Donald. Because he lost those states he has called into question how their selection process is run.

It’s been in place for a while.

And now all the little trumpers have become obsessed with criticizing the process of various states (where Trump didn’t win).

If Trump came out for legalizing drugs and prostitution, it would be interesting to see how the trumpers here would react.

Just an example.

I’m shocked this is so unfair. Nebraska should change the rules to make Trump the winner! That is the only fair thing to do.

/sarcasm (but you know there will be FReepers here that think that)

So they have direct election of delegates! I like that. People do actually get to vote but they have to get educated to know what they are voting for. Sounds better than fair to me...it’s actually smart.

I get a charge out of people who haven’t even been here 5 years yet attacking newcomers—You aren’t that much of an old timer yourself...

Glad you are not on the Free Republic Welcome Wagon Committee....

Maybe you missed the memo from Jim; and it is not his first. You and the snarky insults directed at Trump supporters are not helping anything around here.

How many time is Trump going to drop the ball and blame the system? Sheesh.

Could you expand on that?

What does Mercer have to do with it.

For a long time, people have wondered why Breitbart went so embarrassingly and obviously in the tank for Trump.

It just seemed odd. And they failed to stick up for their reporter in the Corey shoving match that two staffers quit.

Then all of a sudden a few days ago, they’ve become way more balanced.

Not sure what you mean by the mask coming off.

Oh but you'll allow his snarky comments to get a pass:

Is this another crazy caucus state where people don’t really vote? If so no wonder.

tired of the insults in both directions. people need to start educating themselves on how the process works. We are not a democracy. The mob doesn't rule.

That is not a snarky comment/insult directed at a Fellow Freeper...there is a difference. The comment was questioning the process or GOPe or even Cruz, However, it was not attacking a Freeper.

So when does Nebraska hold their Caucus?

Oh, nevermind. May 10th. Makes sense that they pick delegates beforehand huh?

Good points fellow Freepers!

“I didn’t see any Trump supporters,” said Washington County GOP member John Orr told Politico.

I guess the Donald's supporters were all over at one of his rallies instead of the actual event...the local conventions where the delegates to the state convention would be chosen.

Sure doesn't look like a very smart way to run a campaign...what with not having your people in the right place at the right time, accomplishing the on-the-ground tasks that need to be done, and all that.

That is a funny photo. I laughed outloud when I first saw it...then I got creeped out by it.

But on a serious note, I actually like the way Nebraska and Colorado do their elections. It allows the Republicans to actually nominate someone with the organization to win an election. And it’s fair since we don’t have direct elections anyway there isn’t anything wrong with directly electing the delegates. This way you don’t have to worry about them changing their minds in later rounds like you do when the state demands that they vote for their % share of the vote.

In florida where Trump gets less than 50% of the vote but 100% of the delegates. Now that is unfair. But those delegates after round 1 will change their vote—so who knows what we’ll get. But if they directly voted for the delegates they know who will represent them at the convention—that’s a great thing.
