West Long Branch, NJ Donald Trumps sizable lead in Marylands GOP primary puts him on track to claim all 38 delegates available. The Monmouth University Poll finds that concerns about Trumps suitability for office expressed by the states Republican governor hold little sway with voters there.
Currently, 47% of likely Republican primary voters in Maryland support Trump compared to 27% who support John Kasich and 19% who intend to vote for Ted Cruz. Trumps strongest area of support is in congressional districts 1 and 5, the eastern part of the state bordering the Chesapeake Bay, where he earns 54% support to 24% for Kasich and 11% for Cruz. Trump also does well in districts 6 and 8, which encompass the western part of the state, with 44% of the vote to 25% for Kasich and 23% for Cruz. Trump leads by a smaller margin in the states remaining four congressional districts that run along the I-95 corridor from Baltimore to the DC suburbs, getting 43% of the vote there to 31% for Kasich and 20% for Cruz.
If Trumps current level of support translates to each of Marylands eight congressional districts, he may be able to run the table in the all-important delegate contest, said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute.
Trump holds a large advantage among very conservative voters (58% to 27% for Cruz and 9% for Kasich), but a much smaller edge among somewhat conservative voters (38% to 33% for Kasich and 21% for Cruz). He splits the moderate vote with Kasich at 41% apiece, while Cruz gets 10%.

From this looks of this poll, he is yet again the anchorman of the field. He cant even beat Kasich. But, hey, he can beat Hillary. LOL.
Yep. $88 million dollar Teddy bear getting beaten like a drum in another state by no hoper, no money Kasich.
cruz is obsessed with trump s much is that all he ever talks about now is trump. His interview yesterday with Hannity was dreadful and cruz seems to have become unhinged.
But where’s Ted? Wow, only 19%.
That ground game he has sure is chugging away... a long ways away.
Has anyone else noticed how swell Ted’s ground game works when he’s in a captive caucus environment?
When normal people go to the polls, the wheels are laying in a ditch.
Ted is a fraud, and his campaign dynamic is a fraud perpetrated on the public.
The guy’s operation is a train wreck.
He did well with those values in the south to so your point is what?
Guess what? Conservatives live all across the country!

This is exactly what happened in the Evangelical South. They prefer Trump. Closed primaries and all the other challengers are long gone. They still prefer Trump.
When the people vote cruz looses big time except for 4 states , one being his own and the neighboring state of OK.
Then the idiots tell us he would beat Clinton when he can’t even win a county in some southern states and two swing states FL, VA.
This was all over for cruz back when FL voted on super Tuesday.
Yep, he’s been Ted man walking since then but no one wanted to say it. Notice how the MSM never attacks Cruz, except for the Enquirer story which was ignored. Gotta keep the illusion of a horse race going.
I no longer trust the GOP .

The Dono—8,257,846 votes 37.01%..... 757 32.04%
El Felito- - 6,320,545 votes 28.33%..... 533 22.56%
There ya go. When the voters are involved in the process Mr. Cruz fails big league.
How very inquisitive.
Well-said.
I'm still laughing about the fab Ted ground game that was calculated to sweep the south and propel him to front-runner status. He bet his wad on the South and evangelicals and came up empty-handed.
Ted is a fraud, and his campaign dynamic is a fraud perpetrated on the public. That ground game he has sure is chugging away....it only works in closed caucuses....when real people vote, Teddy is a no-show (hat tip Doughty One).
Indeed.
There are going to be some serious blow-ups after that. Just watch. Perhaps an opus or two, more ridiculous and idiotic personal attacks with no merit, and some “he can get 115% of the remaining delegates” pie-in-the-sky magic-thinking posts.
Like the Japanese soldiers stranded on islands who didn’t know WWII was over...
They had one of those on Gilligan’s Island!
I think you’re right on Manc.
Yes, Teddy has some splainin to do.
Oh man I remember that! Good times.
Thanks Liz.

Since Slick Teddie is a GOPe robot if someone pushes the wrong button Tuesday night will he give the “I’m the only one who can beat Donald Trump speech?” or will he man up an end his pointless campaign?
