Missouri secretary of state officially calls state for Trump, Clinton
CNN Politics ^ | April 12, 2016 | Tom LoBianco

Missouri's secretary of state Jason Kander officially declared Tuesday that Donald Trump won a narrow victory over Ted Cruz and will win the state's 12 at-large delegates.

The final tally found Trump edging out Cruz 40.8%-40.6%, or by fewer than 2,000 votes in the March 15 primary.

The additional 12 delegates give Trump an important boost after he was swept by Cruz in Colorado over the weekend at the Colorado Republican convention.

The additional delegates bring Trump slightly closer to the 1,237 needed to secure the nomination. By CNN's estimates, Trump now has 758 delegates, Cruz has 538, Marco Rubio has 173 and John Kasich has 145.

The secretary of state also declared Hillary Clinton the winner there in her close race with Bernie Sanders -- she beat him 49.6%-49.4%, or by about 1,500 votes of the 630,000 cast in the Democratic primary.

cruz has only won 4 primary states, you know where the people can vote in a booth in privacy and one of those states was his own TX with less tan 50’% and the neighbors of OK/

Pitiful and yet they repeat the establishment talking points of rules and cruz can beat Clinton, when cruz can’t even come better than third in the must win states of VA, FL , OH and can’t win a single county of FL, or VA.

758 delegates. I’ll take it. Next Tuesday 956 delegates to Cruz’s 538. Trump will need 281 delegates going into April 26th. When I see 281 delegates, it doesn’t seem so daunting to me. Trump will win the nomination. I am convinced when seeing the numbers. Poor Cruz isn’t even half way to 1237 yet. Lol.

I was actually worried that they would give this to Cruz. Maybe there is still honesty in some states GOP parties.

Let’s see if Trump whines about “unfairly” getting 100% of the at large delegates even though he only got 40% of the vote.

Cloes votes ... just what the divisive tactics are design to accomolish ... because the machine of the oligarchy can cheat a close election to have their desired results. It is the landslide election which scares the bejeebers out of the evil oligarchy.

You are either a professional liar or foolish. The ‘party’ (read servants to the globalist oligarchy) is doing everything they can to take The Donald out before the November voting. You know that, we know that, so why be so obvious in your hired agenda?

And he talks about his 11 wins......

No one will outright ask him if he has met the 8 state threshold.....

He’s weasel wording his way to set himself up with the argument that he’s the person to select on the first or second ballot dependent upon how the end delegate count comes out.

Wrong, Cruz will be mathematically eliminated from being able to reach 1,237 in the first round on April 26.

Literally Cruz's only hope is to cling around and hope for a contested convention.

I am not a hired shill. I have been here on Freerepublic since 2004 I believe. I resent people lying, and saying I am hired. But lying, making crazed unfounded accusations, and name calling has become the norm here the past few months on Freerepublic since Trump has started his campaign for the Republican nomination.

I AM a Cruz supporter, because he believes in most of my smaller, limited government beliefs. I do NOT support Trump because I believe him to be at best a Rhino, and at worst a liberal. I HAVE stated many times that IF Trump secures the nomination, I will vote for him. ( as long as at that time he is still running as a semi-conservative. and if he doesn't move to the left of Hillary in the general)

saw him bragging about his 11 state wins and yet never mentions Trump has twice as many as that and 7 of those states he got are where the establishment control and not the voters.

then he states he is the man to beat Clinton, hell the man cannot get more than 4 states where the voters vote.

There is no Trump or Cruz slate. The vote is for the delegate independent who they support. The are required to support Trump on first ballot.

The “they” you are talking about dumping Ted, are the delegates he is lining up, vetting, and having them sign a loyalty pledge. Not likely to go GOPe.
