YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS! CRUZ SUPPORTERS ATTEMPT COUP AT EAGLE FORUM!

Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly has been a national leader of the conservative movement since the publication of her best-selling 1964 book, A Choice Not An Echo. She has been a leader of the pro-family movement since 1972 when she led the fight to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment.

Phyllis Schlafly is 91 years-old.

On March 11, 2016 conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for President at his St. Louis rally.

But not everyone in her organization, Eagle Forum – or her family – agreed with Phyllis Schlafly’s decision.

Last week Phyllis Schlafly released several board members for disloyalty to the organization. The group was planning to hold rogue board meeting to take over the Eagle Forum.

Today the rogue Cruz supporters attempted a coup.

They held a non-sanctioned meeting and blocked Phyllis Schlafly from their conference call.

This email was sent out Monday afternoon.

St. Louis, Missouri:

“At 2pm today, 6 directors of Eagle Forum met in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting. I objected to the meeting and at 2:11pm, I was muted from the call. The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me. They are attempting to seize access to our bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.

“The members of their group are: Eunie Smith of Alabama, Anne Cori of Missouri, Cathie Adams of Texas, Rosina Kovar of Colorado, Shirley Curry of Tennessee, and Carolyn McLarty of Oklahoma.

“This kind of conduct will not stand and I will fight for Eagle Forum and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight.”

This is a developing story—-

We know what he will do with the constitution. Just look at the first two cases he argued before the US Supreme Court.

As a minister, Laz, that’s a bit over the top if it wasn’t intended as humor or sarcasm.

“Meanwhille, let us take Eagle Forum as a bellwether and warning for Conservatism and America—united we have a chance—divided we cannot stand.”

By united, do you mean we must kow-tow to those conservatives that would destroy everything unless we follow their lead?

Because, that is what we are seeing in this situation, and not just the Eagle Forum.

The modus operandi of the #NeverTrump movement has been: get on board or get run over. It has been a no-compromise movement.

Is the chairman/president himself capable of unilaterally telling members that they have breached their fiduciary duties? Up here, I am fairly sure that it would have to be a majority of the board itself.

BTW—I appreciate your post. For the most part, this thread has become a catfight of enormous magnitude. I wish it would get pulled from breaking.

The members of the board all disagreed with Schlafly’s unwise decision to endorse a fake conservative who has none of the family values extolled by the Eagle Forum. Coup? LOL.

Yes, a coup...nothing less.

To call Ms Schlafly's decision 'unwise' and to support these actions - yes, a coup - by these detestable GOPe jerks, is atypical of the cRuz 'couplers. Behind the scenes/back (remember the Rubio handshake??) tricks are now in vogue. No thanks.

Bylaws, for Board members...and these traitors' fiduciary responsibilities.....will be on Phyllis'/Eagle Forum's side.

Never.

They are two heads of the same globalist stake. More people every day are finally waking to what they have planned for us.

Hillary, Cruz, Rubio, Kasich -- all owned and all pursuing the agenda of the same masters.

...Cruz’s own father says the purpose of Dominionism is to seize the wealth of the wicked and transfer it into the hands of the righteous. That’s literally what Cruzers are doing in the Eagle Forum in illegally attempting to seize bank accounts.

...if Cruz wins, the party and the movement will be purged. Those who have Trumpian/Nationalistic views on immigration and free trade, or ever even once said something positive about Trump, will have their careers destroyed.

From Gateway comment:

Cruz once said that the organization derives its ethics from its leader. Well here ya go Ted. This one goes all the way to your door. What are you going to do about the attempted overthrow of not only this organization but the general theme of overthrowing the will of the people?

{Are we all liberals now?}

I have no idea. But you’re certainly supporting one, which is antithetical to the solutions that are needed. The phrase cutting off your nose to spite your face comes to mind. I’d much rather support the guy who I agree with 90% of the time rather than the guy who has spent his entire life supporting everything I disagree with. We lament the destruction of the American culture and then many of you support a man who has enabled and profited from it.

I have said numerous times here on FR, that the nominee must be either Cruz or Trump, I would agree with the open rebellion against the GOP if they engage in any shenanigans to deny either of them.

Also, why do none of you believe that Cruz is also smart enough to realize what games the GOP may want to engage in and take steps to ensure it doesn’t happen? Hint: it’s all part of the same delegate fight that’s occurring right now.

In all honesty...thank you for the civil reply. Its sadly atypical.

It is absolutely imperative that, after the convention, the republican party unites around the nominee in an all out effort to save your republic.

So if the people at the convention pick Kasich are you saying we should go all-in on his proposals? How about if they pick Ron Paul? Or Jeb Bush?

[Phylis took it upon herself to endorse Trump without the consent of the rest of the members.]

Phyllis has EVERY RIGHT to endorse a candidate. She did not make this an official Eagle Forum endorsement. National and state leaders of organizations do this all the time.

That's the point, it was invalid according to the By Laws

I think it was a simple attempt at a power and money grab. Go look at the website Eagle Forum. It is as dedicated to only Schlafly, no one else. It is her the same way Ann Coulter’s site is only all Ann.

It is the GOP and Cruz people trying to IMO steal it because they want to control their own narrative in the future. Plus the money in the bank might be substantial.

I'm sure the way she set up the organization allows for her to control the whole board until her passing. The reason for a board is more for when she is gone. Many then choose the direction of that money mostly and you probably end up with a ghost archive that sells subscriptions to her past articles and videos.
No one else cares about stuff like the original creator of their brand or stuff.

I would worry about her regarding who to trust after this.

Here in the USA the Trump issue has uncovered lots of disappointment for conservatives who all invested already maybe decades in Rush Limbaugh or Mark Levin. Trump had partially destroyed their brand as well because of their seeming connection to the GOPe and win-at-all-cost tactics approval.

Cruz will flame. We get 50 years of a Liberal Supreme Court that will leave Canada looking conservative.

Good luck with your Muslim population I've run into while visiting Canada. They are on you dole declaring they will take over control of Canada by the womb without a fight. Good luck with that! :-)
