I've only recently become a Trump supporter. I was leaning toward Cruz, but couldn't go with him when he decided to collude with the GOPe, fully knowing (I have to imagine) that there wasn't a snowball's chance in Hell they would pick him in a contested convention. It's obvious that the GOP has decided to self destruct. Their disregard for conservatives and their complete disdain for the middle and working class has turned my stomach.
I've turned in my membership. I'm finished for good with the Republican Party. I've decided to go Independant from this point forward, and I've gotten to,wondering...

I get where Trump supporters are coming from by refusing to vote for anyone but Trump and I'm no position to criticize that position. What leaves me a bit baffled is the additional vow to vote for Dim’s down ticket..

The "They" you refer to are the delegates. Here in MA we vote for MOST of them later this month.
Yes, the GOPe will have a few "superdelegates" (Here in MA its about 15). But, over 40 delegates will be committed to the winner on the 1st ballot (Trump from MA), then released... and they by and large will be Trump/Cruz-minded delegates. These delegates will retain rule-40, thus eliminating ANY possibility of a Kasich or Ryno. The second ballot WILL BE either Trump or Cruz.
I will vote for Trump or Cruz as the Nominee.
If it should be Ryno, ... if it should be anybody other than Trump/Cruz... well, might have to leave the GOP.

Think about it: The flaky Perot was right in there against GHWB & Clinton until he dropped out (temporarily).
Trump is MUCH stronger candidate than Perot, and would have weaker opponents.
Plus, in Perot’s day, the evils of NAFTA were theoretical. So were some of the attacks on American values. No longer.

I almost switched parties to independent from republican several times in the last 4 years... I’ve been overly hopeful that we could clean it up from within.
I heard on Rush today that the RNC intends to change it’s platform this year to condone homosexual marriage.
If that happens, there will be no more procrastinating.
I am also waiting to see if the RNC has the balls to steal this from Trump or Cruz... if that happens, I will surely switch... just so I can be counted in those numbers that will send a clear message to the elite that they have literally killed the party.
However, As long as Trump is in there fighting within the republican party to take down the establishment, I’m there with him.
If we cant fix it, it needs to end.
