Kasich predicts open convention: 'It’s going to be so much fun'

Republican presidential candidate John Kasich said he thinks he has a good chance at a contested convention this summer.

"I believe that a convention will look at somebody like me, and that’s why I think I’m going to be the nominee," the Ohio governor said on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday.

Kasich said he expects to continue gaining momentum and picking up delegates until the convention. Kasich then touted his poll numbers in head-to-head match-ups against Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, saying he beats Clinton in "virtually every poll."

"I'm the only one that does it on the Republican side," he said.

He also talked about his record on job growth, adding he has international foreign policy knowledge and the experience to be a competitive candidate.

"We just have to keep going, and we’re going to have an open convention," Kasich said.

"It’s going to be so much fun. Kids will spend less time focusing on Bieber and Kardashian and more time focusing on how we elect presidents. It will be so cool."

Kasich said he thinks convention delegates will start to "feel the real weight" in choosing who the Republican nominee will be.

New Gingrich, who I highly respect, has told the GOP elite (both publicly and in private) that if they steal the nomination from the front runner, Hillary will be elected and the party is dead.

The elites do not care.

They don't care about the party, the nation, or us.

They care about their own wallets. They have become very wealthy from insider trading, polling, consulting, and lobbying. The power and money trough is what they worship.

He talks like a 12 year old and looks like he is 80. He has a quirky mean disposition,and he was best buddies with Gary Condit when Chandra levy went missing. People forget that Condit kept a brothel in His apt where he was cheating on his wife with levy. How many times did kasich visit the brothel where orgies took place? 911 happened and wiped Condit/levy scandal off the front pages,then a few months later she was found murdered a few blocks away in rock creek park. Kasich was such buddies with Condit he campaigned in CA for him against Condit’s GOP opponent. He is a mess.
