Ted Cruz, The "DARLING" Of The GOP Establishhment. (Vanity)

Posted on 04/01/2016 5:09:10 AM PDT by JLAGRAYFOX

Ted Cruz is now totally owned and controlled by the GOP Establishment, which will now use him to gain their urgent need to obtain the Republican nominee for POTUS...which, under no circumstances will ever be Ted Cruz. Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, John McCain, Lindsy Graham, Jeb Bush, Glenn Beck, Mike Lee, Carly Fiorina, and probably, as of later today, Rand Paul, now control one time "OUTSIDER" Ted Cruz.

Of course both Ted Cruz and his wife were never outsiders....they are "Bushises, from head to toe. Ted Cruz is hated and repulsive to all of these GOP (E) folks, and they will destroy him, politically, as soon as they have the power & position to gain control and choice of the Republican nominee for POTUS. Ted Cruz & his wife Heidi are living in LaLa land, & have nary a clue!!! Add to that a cooperative media & hordes of "Establishment" pundits who in reality adore Hillary Clinton or, any Democrat...and even a dummie like me, can see the table of doom for Ted Cruz being set. Either Cruz gets discarded at the convention or, he gets the nomination which will be followed by a massive loss to whatever Democrat runs for POTUS in November, 2016.

I am really surprised that the good folks of Wisconsin cannot see through this weak charade put forth by the Republican Establishment. Either way, the American people lose and the Establishment, both Reppublican & Democrat goes on unabated...and the country slowly, but sueely continues its doward decline.

Maybe there is yet hope in the heart of the good folks of Wisconsin, over the next few days, and, folks will come to their senses, waking up to the fact that Ted Cruz is nothing but a simple tool in the full use by the Republican Establishment. There is only one candidate that will truly change the course for the USA and, that is Donald J. Trump!!! America is in critical, sad, sorry condition these days and, is getting worse with each passing day. Support & vote for Donald J. Trump next Tuesday in Wisconsin ro restore the greatness of America and a positive great future for all Americans here, and those yet to come!!!

Makes perfect sense they hate Trump more. Once Trump is gone, they will discard Cruz after he has sold out to making them part of his campaign.

Trump if he loses the nomination will go back to a nice life. Cruz will be viewed by many as a person who will sell out his integrity and will likely be viewed as damaged goods.

No one supported another establishment candidate on FR when we all thought Trump and Cruz were outsiders. Now that Cruz has the support and backing of so many GOPe, the establishment is okay to many.

Another of many who ran as a Tea Party representative, just like Rubio and Haley, in order to gain his position.

I was fooled too.

I can just imagine Cruz going anywhere in America after he becomes POTUS and all you see is people wearing pinocchio noses.

On the hiway billboards animated images of a branch growing from his face.

New youtube channels of how many lies for the day, oh and “Where is Heidi today?”

Cruz is a proven Constitutionalist. Trump has not said he will reduce the size and scope of this oppressive federal government....he will “put the right people in there” instead.

Absolute BS.

Cruz was the 2nd to last choice of the GOPe. Trump is the absolute last choice. They most reluctantly decided to go with Cruz because from their perspective, he was the only one left. Further, they have stated openly that they only want Cruz enough to stop Trump from walking into the convention with the nomination. The GOPe doesn’t want EITHER Trump or Cruz as the nominee.

Trying to assert that he is now the “Darling” is at best misleading and more accurately a down right lie.

Cruz is a proven Constitutionalist

What accomplishments does Cruz have to be a "proven Constitutionalist"? Has he ever held any sort of executive position to support this claim?

“They “hate” him but he’s a part of them? Does that really make sense to you?”

Is the establishment a club of good friends?

No!

They are all slugs that use each other. They have their little cliques, subgroups, and factions like any other.

Cruz is just part of that larger establishment. They are both using each other, but Cruz will be dumped in the end because he is at best just a Jr. member. A wannabe that thinks he’s in-charge.

Don't be ridiculous, the GOPe will jettison Cruz just as soon as he prevents Trump from getting the 1237 delegates.

I would like to see Cruz and Trump give the GOPe an ultimatum: any backroom BS and we both walk and run as a unified 3rd party.

1. They hate Cruz

2. He has a pending scandal

3. His strong point is his weak point ,

Florida , less than 20% of the GOP primary State Vote in a 4 man race and never even won a county.

Virginia , again less than 20% of the vote and do didn't win a county.

Ohio again less than 20% of the 4 person race and never won a county.

He is a tool to stop Trump then into the Garbage.

Unlike Trump it's an easy case to make can't win above the Mason Dixon line, won his home State by the lowest margin ever in GOP history. The States that decide the Election he can't complete.

Let’s step back in time for a minute.

“Rove, you magnificent bastard!”

“It’s strategery I tell ya.”

If I recall correctly, this is when Rove and Bush were staunch “ conservatives,” beating the rats at every turn. When they had Cheney, Rummy, Condi, Colin, all conservatives by FR standards and we pretty much felt that tingle go up our leg. I think this was around the time Cruz was working for the team.

As a Texan, I like Cruz. I like what he represents, what he brought to the table and how he stood up to the establishment. Back then he still had a wife who worked for GS, but we never cared because Cruz was our guy.

He also had a 100% conservative rating from Heritage, which at one time we called that the gold standard of Conservatism. Mark Levin was our constitutional expert, Rush was our voice and Coulter the voice of what we wanted to say publicly but didn’t.

Fast forward to today. Hannity is an idiot, Coulter is an establishment hack, despite knowing as far back as 2002 that she had a thing for the log cabin Republicans, Levin is a screaming moron, who couldn’t tell the constitution from a condom and Rush is an entertainer whose schtick is speaking to the low information voter.

Basically we are dead as an ideology. Because we refuse to acknowledge that Trump and Cruz need to come together to finish the job they started and instead want to be emotional jerks and fight amongst ourselves, we can no longer differentiate the forest from the trees.

Sorry to break it to everyone, but unless Trump and Cruz bring a fractured conservative movement together and work together to take on the establishment, we are dead. Our enemies played divide and now they will conquer unless we regroup.

It needs to start here, this is a well respected forum run by a true conservative who has asked us to drop the negative rhetoric about our candidates, come together as one and take back our country.

It’s up to us, because there is no one out there but Trump and Cruz and they need our support, not our condemnation. With that, what are we going to do?

To me, the moment of truth for Mr Cruz comes at the convention. When he gets there and it becomes obvious to him that: 1) he can’t get the nomination outright; and 2) those GOPe’s that have labeled him a “whacko bird” are most certainly my not going to allow him to win a brokered convention, what will he do? If he has the principles he has professed, then he should not allow anyone but Trump to walk out of there with the nomination and throw his delegates to Trump.

One thing I know about this campaign is that between Trump and Cruz are running as the “eff” the GOPe candidates. They have gotten a large majority of the votes. To allow a nominee that runs counter to the clearly expressed will of the party is outrageous. The party must be torn from Carl “socialist light” Rove’s grasp.

If it is not, then I sincerely hope that then the headstone of the GOP is crafted it includes a large statue of Rove’s fat, arrogant face.

Face it they are not coming together and while I get the gist of what you want it won’t happen.

The fact is now if one votes for cruz or Kasich then it is a vote for the contested convention of which the establishment wants.
Therefore voting for either one now is a vote for the establishment.

Not sure why you had to ping Jim either when he is not on this thread or maybe not even awake yet.

“totally owned and controlled by the GOP Establishment”

You are NUTS!

There is no more hated man in the Senate than Ted Cruz.

Their decision to back him rather than Trump, does NOT indicate “control”.

totally agree.
Cruz and Kasich know they will neverget enough delegates anmd so why are they there?

Because they want to stop Trump. That is what the establishment wants.
the problem for cruz is that he is so blinded right now by his bitterness for Trump that he doe snot see that the establishment will just throw him out when he has done their dirty work.
So in essence his voters will be shocked, but the reality is they voted for this mess.

If this had been McCain , Romney then the establishment would be pushing to rally behind the front runner.
Have you ever seen the GOP fight this hard against the left , because I have not?

Cruz was done after we voted in the super Tuesday in FL etc.
