Signs of Wisconsin Backlash Against Donald Trump, Who Trails in Poll
NY Times ^ | 03-31-2016 | TRIP GABRIEL

JANESVILLE, Wis. — The danger signs are mounting for Donald J. Trump in Wisconsin: Right-wing radio hosts are flaying him, Gov. Scott Walker and other elected Republicans have endorsed Senator Ted Cruz, and a new poll showed Mr. Cruz with a 10 percentage-point lead in the state before Tuesday’s primary.

The Stop Trump movement may never have another opportunity like the one here, where resistance to Mr. Trump was running high even before his campaign became consumed by a new round of controversies, from his mocking of Mr. Cruz’s wife to the arrest of his campaign manager to his comments in favor of punishing women who get abortions.

If Mr. Trump is dealt a setback in the Wisconsin primary, including a potential sweep by Mr. Cruz of all 42 delegates, it would be his most prominent reversal since his second-place finish in the Iowa caucuses in February. And it would show Mr. Trump’s vulnerability before the race moves to New York and other Northeastern states.

Never in my life have I prayed for an open convention... until now. I have some doubts that Cruz can beat the wicked witch. But I know Trump can't. If he is the nominee we are going to get buried in November.

Open convention is the best way to commit suicide. Get used to saying President Clinton again. It’s only 8 more years. Blobfish can’t even beat Trump.

“But I know Trump can't. “

And just how do you “know” that? Are you a Shaman? It must be wonderful to be clairvoyant!

Nevermind all of the states he’s won. Let’s pretend that doesn’t exist!

These people can get bent.

And anyone that gets all fearful can learn to grow a pair because anyone else you offer is nothing but a surrender in hopes of what? That the MSM will produce some happy polls for you to smoke like opium?

More gloom and doom from the Trump-hating crowd still hoping for Trump’s demise. Well keep hoping, it’s not gonna happen, so just keep flailing away, maybe something will stick......

Well, he can't. Trump's coalition stays home and only the religious nuts show up in November to vote for Cruz. Cruz wins maybe 5 states and gets pummeled by Hillary.

I love it! Trump guaranteed to be trounced by Killary.

That must be why the DNC, RNC, MSM et al are trying so hard to make sure Trump is the nominee. Oh wait, that ain’t actually happening.

Things that make you go Hmmmmmmm.

All the democrats despise him and somewhere around 40-50% of the Republicans don’t like him either. Doesn’t take a crystal ball to see where those numbers will lead.

Coincidentally that’s about how many states I see Trump carrying in a general election. If we are lucky. I think we need to start looking outside the box.

good grief how many times do you have to be corrected with facts, before you stop going thread ton thread spreading the establishment lies.

Have you not had enough of the establishment or do you want to keep the gravy train and corruption going or are you part of it?

Trump v Cruz head-to-head actual primary election results for the 3 purple states which are must wins,

|——————Trump v Cruz -——— Trump v Cruz ———— Margin -——|
Ohio ............. 700,464 - 259,694 ... 35.87% - 13.30% ..... +440,770 Trump

Florida ........ 1,079,741 - 404,804 ... 45.72% - 17.14% ..... +647,937 Trump

Virginia ......... 355,961 - 173,191 ... 34.73% - 16.90% ..... +182720 Trump

The facts say, Cruz can’t win FL,OH, or VA. He has to win all of them; therefore a vote for Cruz is a vote for Hillary.

Again, my give a sh*t meter is barely moving. So I make this observation. Everyone has figured out to stop Trump begins and end with the gender gap. And I know Trump people don't like it, but it is a real issue.

Let me point out that Trump always seems to make-up with male media types, but continues to hold grudges (to unhealthy obsessions) with women media members.

Women hate when men call other women ugly. Trump still does this.

Trump called for the criminalization of abortion for the women which is stupid. I will note, that the media has tried the criminal trap on abortion since GHWB ran for president in 1988! How did he fall for this trap in 2016?

Flame me all you want, but the fact is that this is how Trump doesn't capture the nomination. I am going back to signing up for a free MLB package with T-Mobile, because, I don't give a crap what Trump people think of me.

That could be a terrible outcome
Dem POTUS, Senate, and SCOTUS.

My advice to FReepers is if this looks likely, buy guns and gun stock investments. It will take them a year or two to negate the 2nd Amendment.

do you not have to win swing states and if so and I suspect you know the answer then how can a man who cannot win two of the 3 important swing states and not even get a county in FL, VA be better ?

I am in FL and there is no way cruz will win here. Therefore we lose, but the people supporting cruz at least helped the establishment , Ryan, etc.

Me too. With an open convention we may be able to salvage this thing.
