Trump: Cruz's campaign bought rights to GQ photo

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Sunday slammed rival Ted Cruz for the recent ad produced by an anti-Trump super-PAC featuring a photo of Trump's wife posing nude.

"From what I hear, he and his campaign went out and bought the cover shoot. Melania did a cover story for 'GQ,' a very strong modeling picture. No big deal," Trump said on ABC's "This Week."

"But it was a cover story for 'GQ,' a big magazine. And it was, you know, fine. And from what I hear, somebody bought the rights to it and he was the one or his campaign bought the rights and they gave it to the super PAC."

Trump said Cruz knew about the ad, adding he started the latest fight between the two. Last week, Trump threatened to "spill the beans" on Cruz's wife in response to the ad featuring Melania Trump. He then shared a tweet featuring a photo of his wife next to a photo of Cruz's wife, stating, "A picture is worth a thousands words."

Cruz has denied knowing anything about the ad, and called it deplorable on Sunday.

But Trump said the super PAC that produced the ad is "very friendly to Ted Cruz."

"He knew all about it, 100 percent," he said.

"There's no way in a million years that super PAC did that without his absolute knowledge."

Now Cruz may well be a serial adulterer, member of a pagan cult and overall sob but you gotta provide some evidence.

Stay tuned, videos coming to a theatre near you soon.

From what I gather is that they’ll be deported, but can get in line to come back legally. That’s not an easy process though. My BIL went through it, as did my Shanghai-born lady friend. Took her almost 15 years!
Jimmy sold peanuts. Trump has more than 500 companies in his name. True that some have gone bankrupt, but Chapter 11, not 7. He employs at least 22,000 people. He does hire Hispanics during the tourist season, but then they go back home. People in tourist hotspots like Florida don’t want seasonal jobs. They want year round full employment.

But Trump has clearly stated that he is going to expedite that process.

"Cruz has denied knowing anything about the ad, and called it deplorable on Sunday. "

I watched the full interview of Cruz on youtube.

One thing stuck out to me abolve all others...

Ted Cruz: I denounced that ad, forcefully, when it came out because I don't think a persons spouse should be part of a campaign.

Or words very, very close to that.

The key point being he DID NOT denounce the ad until that Fox show, and then by lying that he had denounced all along.

I don't think I've seen such practiced deception on display before. Anyone who did not know otherwise would likely believe him.

Fair enough. It’s just BS when Cruz wants it both ways.

So you admittedly had no proof when you made your false assertion, ie: lie?

About 23 March on twitter, but the trail is broken, someone always referred to a previous tweet which had vanished.

and has been in the public domain.

Not trying to get into this mud fight but offer the following regarding works in the public domain:

The term “public domain” refers to creative materials that are not protected by intellectual property laws such as copyright, trademark, or patent laws. The public owns these works, not an individual author or artist. Anyone can use a public domain work without obtaining permission, but no one can ever own it.

If this is confirmed to be true, How can anyone argue for Cruz?

Trying to start a feud with Trump to creat obfuscation around your infidelity?

Cruz gets slimmer with every passing day.

I saw the tweet which was nothing more than someone making the claim. Nothing to back it up. And the claim itself does not suffice as a basis for itself.

You are right about public domain and I should have chosen my words more carefully. I meant the photo has been in the wild, shared on the Internet.

Aquamarine, I am not saying that I don't want a godly man in the White House. And I am not defending anything Donald Trump or his wife have done.

What I am saying is that the message (as I see it) of the ad is: "Look at how shameful Donald Trump is by marrying this woman!" And further, through inference, it says: "Look at how godly Ted Cruz is because his wife didn't pose nude!"

The pharisees were guilty of the same thing: pointing out the sinfulness in others while whitewashing their own.

Did not God say "There is no one without sin; no, not one"? He also had many things to say about men who are quick to cluck their tongues about others while giving the impression that they are somehow holier, more pious, or "more saved."

But what I am most certainly saying to you is that Ted and Heidi Cruz are no less desperately, wretchedly, and abominably sinful as Donald and Melania Trump are. Any man who says he is without sin is a liar and has no part of the kingdom of God.

I didn't say that. GOD did.

Furthermore, I think God is more than capable of getting hold of a man even at his moment of deepest sin and wretchedness. He did it with Saul on the Damascus Road. And I can tell you most assuredly that he did it with a dirty rotten sinner like me. So who are you to say that one man is holier than the other? That's God's turf and you're horning in on it.

Finally, based upon the actions and words of both Cruz and Trump, and the alignments of both men with entities who hate America and spit on the constitution and American conservatives, I am not all that convinced that Cruz is any less of a poser than Trump is.

The public domain criteria applies only if no private copy-rite is valid. Many an instance exists of copyrighted material placed publicly available for non-commercial viewing and casual use, as it promotes professional recognition; but, a professional or commercial use absolutely requires a licensing transaction.
