I wish I could see real numbers on their circulation for the past year. After Against Trump, saying blue collar whites should die, and now openly advocating theft of the nomination, I can’t imagine more than 1,000 people are still signed up for this garbage.
What a shame. William F. Buckley Jr. was one of the all-time greats. His magazine is a total disgrace to his name at this point.

[In the short run, a third-party candidate might insulate down-ballot candidates from Trumpism]
MIGHT is a very YUGE word.

Forgive the GOPe, they know not what they do.
They are about to wake a sleeping giant who is very, very angry.

....... or leave the party altogether. Careful what you wish for. For me, it won't "just be leaving the party." I'll take ALL of my down-ticket Republican votes with me. More succinctly, not one damned Republican I'll vote for if they deny him the nomination if he has the minimum delegate majority they set.

.... The Republican party is not a direct democracy. It crafts its own rules, and it can change them...
Just like it changes its RINO/GOPe candidate campaign promises to 180° opposite of what voters were promised if elected.
The American GOPe RINO is on the political endangered species list.

Go ahead and nominate a Cheap Labor Express candidate.
Every Republican down to dog catcher will suffer.

Voters dont decide the nominations; delegates do preferably in smoke-filled rooms where rational decisions about the future of a party can be hashed out. .
.
.
A third party would also help sink Trump and elect Hillary Clinton. Electing a weakened and corrupt Democrat that Republicans would unite against in Congress is a far better reality than allowing a charlatan to hollow out a party from within. Here you go: This is what the true voice of the GOPe sounds like.

Whether the GOP nominates Trump, or steals the nomination away from him, we’re watching the demise of this historically great party.
Some of us are busy building the principled conservative alternative.

So I guess FR is just a "marginally conservative" website.
Can you be any more out of touch?

NRO conservative impostors offer no clear alternative to Trump.
They hate him but can’t offer one good reason why any one would vote for the establishment.
In case its escaped David French’s notice, the insurgency taking over the party commands 80% of the vote.
That’s a lot of people and Trump commands half of that these days.
And who do the Bourbons of the GOP represent?

Read the whole article and did not find ONE policy reason why Trump "must be stopped".
Not one.
WHY must he be stopped?

I have absolutely ZERO confidence that that would happen. ZERO! NONE! NADA!
Which is EXACTLY why I'm voting for Trump.

“WHY must he be stopped?”
Because he is not in the club or on the payroll.
