Ben Sasse says it's 'highly unlikely' that Trump will be Republican nominee
Omaha World-Herald ^ | March 15, 2016 | Joseph Morton

A recent poll by Victory Processing asked Nebraskans about Trump and Sasse. The poll's questions appeared aimed at gauging how Sasse's stance is playing with his constituents.

The results of the poll are not publicly available, nor is it clear who commissioned the poll.

The Nebraska Public Service Commission shows Victory Processing as having the same Grand Rapids, Michigan, address as Victory Phones, a vendor that Sasse's Senate campaign used for polling, fundraising and other services.

That would be according to the new, revised, definition of GOPe, right?

I.e., anyone opposed to electing Trump is now GOPe.

And you wonder why his negatives are Yuuuge?

I don’t wonder anything about Sasse; he’s just another lying GOP-e person. He found out where his bread was buttered, and it wasn’t in the “conservative” group.

He’s a newby, but he was invited to the private meeting in GA .. that tells me he sold out.

While I was not in a position to support his campaign; now, I’m really glad I didn’t.

Cornhuskers are as predictable as Buckeyes, or are they?

I think it’s highly unlikely that Ben Sasse will be a two term Senator.

OK, but when Trump wins the GOP nomination, what will you do?

First of all, I hope that Trump does **not** get the nomination. He has the highest unfavorable ratings ever recorded, higher even than Hillary's. Trump could lose to Hillary in an orange jumpsuit. That would be a disaster, such a disaster, that I can tell you. Believe me.

But if somehow Trump should get the nomination, I will decide on the morning of November 8 if he has done enough to merit my vote. That of course remains to be seen.

Is that also true of the Cornhusker woman senator, Ms. Deb (I can’t remember her last name)?

Yes, Trump might suck. But we know the others will suck (with the possible exception of Cruz).

Why is Sasse a first year senator the out front guy on this?

Because he is expendable.

The other big "anti" advocate is that Congressman from Virginia who is not running for reelection.

The establishment lacks many qualities. A sense of self-preservation is not among them.

I know this may sound infantile, but Ben Sasse needs a hiding

Ben Sasse one of the most conservative Constitutionalist we have had in decades, see how well that works out for We the People?

What has a Constitutional Conservative done for you today?

You’re right; it sounds infantile.

But it doesn't make it untrue. He's being highly foolish to suggest that we shouldn't rally around the GOP nominee when the stakes are so high.

“There are lots and lots of us social and constitutional conservatives who can’t stand Trump and don’t trust him.”

Trump calls himself a conservative Republican but has really given us no reason to believe that he’s anything other than whatever kind of democrat that controls the party. He has taken a position for the “assault weapons ban”. He is for funding Planned Parenthood. On considering running for President, I believe in 2000, he said “if I run I’ll run as a Republican, they’re stupid”. We all know of his funding democrats and endorsing them as recently as three years ago, DeBlasio. He believes in eminent domain for private use and he believes in the federal government retaining ownership of millions of acres of state lands. He believes cash for favors is okay and he’s done it, although he wasn’t clear about who was the giver or recipient of either the favor or money. We’ll find out what the NYT knows that the wall, deportation, and no amnesty are only his beginning point of the “deal making” and will be negotiated away as the “deal” progresses. Trump is a big government democrat masquerading as a conservative and is laughing at you. I believe Trump is very possibly mentally unstable and has a severe personality disorder, narcissism, which may be a symptom of a sociopath. I will not vote for Trump.

For all these reasons and more, I do not trust Trump. Based on eight months of observing him and learning his history, I think he is a Big Government autocrat at heart.

I’ve taken note CH. What you see as conservative, I see as a GOPe sell out.

In the end, you will stay faithful to Ted, which is your absolute right.

The crooked idiots, similar to the gang of 8, were able to succeed with the Mississippi treason while “We the People” were sleeping!

Now you have different balls in the soup!!

The sleeping “We the People” GIANT have been awakening by the Trump Movement from our sleep and now paying CLOSE attention with the establishment’s treason. And they will NOT succeed this time around. They will be CRUSHED !!!

What concerns me more is DT’s safety. A guy in Kasicks gang promoting a shot to DT’s head ???
