With his craven comments on Donald Trump in Chicago, Ted Cruz went over the line

The Ides of March was the Roman term for the 15th day of the month. This year it falls on Tuesday, which is the date of the Republican presidential primary elections in five states.

It was on the Ides of March, of course, that Julius Caesar was famously stabbed in the back.

Ted Cruz is trying a new twist on that these.

"Any candidate is responsible for the culture of a campaign."

I couldn't agree more, Mr. Cruz. That applies as much to you as it does to Trump.

I am now free to hold you personally responsible for the "violation mailers", the lies about Carson dropping out in Iowa, the dishonest ad about Trump "bulldozing" an old lady's house, the website with the photoshopped picture of Rubio which also distorted Rubio's record on Planned Parenthood, something I never did before.

I have always tried to be clear in my comments that the Cruz campaign was responsible for such things, not Mr. Cruz himself.

I now directly equate you, Mr. Cruz, with all those things, and the slimeball named Jeff Roe that you hired.

“I expected better from Cruz”

Why would you? He’s been doing this $hit since he realized that his “campaign” was in the dumper! I can’t wait to hear those famous word: “Today I, Ted Cruz, am suspending my campaign!” In thirty days, 45 days tops!

lets see about this soros thing
SOROS = Hillary, Right?
Soros = Hillary = Hillary supporters, right?
Soros = Hillary = Hillary supporters...Donald Trump has ALWAYS been a hillary supporter, for sec of state, for senator, for president up til 10 months ago...
Therefore, it is easy to see...
SOROS = HILLARY = HILLARY SUPPORTERS = Trump

From the article:

Ted Cruz is trying a new twist on that these

------------

I have written on here before that Cruz is hated in the Senate because he was a conniving back stabber and not because he was some sort of ultra conservative.

This is further evidence I was correct in my assessment that Cruz is a back stabber.

“Totally factual and responsible response by Cruz.”

I saw it instead as totally short sighted and foolishly self-serving.

I say “foolishly self-serving” in that he’s a fool if he thinks that his response served him well.

And I was leaning toward Cruz.

Cruz isn't a real American. If he were, he'd know that we have First Amendment Rights which we cherish. Trump is reminding us not to let them slip away.

It shows that Cruz wasn't brought up steeped in the traditions and values a Natural Born Citizen would be more likely to have learned. Looks like the Founding Fathers were on to something.

Puh-leeze. I have no doubt that Cruz knows way more about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights than you do.

If Cruz knows more about the Constitution, then why didn't he speak out in support of the right of Trump supporters to gather and enjoy their Freedom of Speech rights? Nobody has the right to disrupt a rally like they did. Those thugs weren't their to exercise rights. Their goal was to stop others from doing so.

Cruz is OVER. In about 72 hours he's added Neil Bush to his campaign finance team, he's called Trump supports ill-informed and lacking in intelligence, and he's sided with LaRaza and BLM thugs.

Those of you who still support him are suffering from something akin to battered wife syndrome. You keep making excuses and coming back for more.

I am not discussing with you the merits of voting or not voting for Cruz. I have more concerns about Cruz, whom I did vote for in my state primary, than Trump supporters have about Trump. It is the cult-like adoration that Trump's supporters display, like teen-aged fangirls, that disturbs me.

I have said on this site that I will vote for Trump if he wins the nomination. But any Trump supporters that refuse to have legitimate concerns about him -- even if they ultimately vote for himn -- are not worth listening to about anything.

Vote for him if you want, but do it with your eyes open.

As for Cruz, whether or not you think he is a good presidential candidate, if you think he doesn't know more about the Constitution than you do, then you obviously haven't looked at his actual resume, which makes you just an LIV.

The devil knows a lot about the Bible too. He quoted Scripture fluently. No, I’m not comparing Cruz to the devil. I’m merely pointing out that head knowledge is worthless unless it translates into real life actions.
