Top Republicans including governors who convened an emergency conference call on Monday on which Trump was Topic A expect the real estate mogul to carry as many as 10 states on Tuesday night, an outcome that would deal a body blow to Sen. Ted Cruz, who has staked his campaign heavily on the Southern states holding nominating contests, and to Sen. Marco Rubio, who has yet to win a primary and isnt expected to do so on Tuesday.
Trumps march to the nomination has set off a wave of anxiety across the Republican Party establishment as top officials weigh whether to endorse him or denounce him as anathema to the partys values. Reflecting that angst, on Monday morning, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, the heads of the Republican Governors Association, convened fellow governors for an unusual conference call to discuss how the primary was unfolding and Trump was a central topic of conversation.

Guaranteed.
The small donors may go away but the big corporate money....who knows?
Totally agree.
_ _it has hit the fan.
Really?
Been in a deep coma the past seven plus years, have you?
Cynic is not on the list of words I would call you.
A “Trump Movement” or a “conservative movement”?
You are going to be disappointed if / when Trump is elected..........
Unfortunately, you won’t have to worry about that with Cruz.
Its on!
Martinez and Walker better not go against the voters.
New Mexico primary: June 7.
Wisconsin primary: April 5.
Trump will have seized the nomination by then.
That’s the thing about big investors: they DEMAND a return on investment.
If the party can’t deliver....
A Trump version of a conservative movement. It’s not soft, fuzzy and without warts but at it’s core it is conservative.
Gee, if only the GOP had worked this hard to stop the Obama Agenda in the first place we might not have been stuck with Obama for 8 years ...........
Ok.
Yup complete panic and meltdown. It's like the fort just got ambushed by those nasty savages.
The smells of flop sweat, vomit, urine and feces must be overwhelming in that room!
“Call me a cynic, thats how I see it.”
You may be right, but we are stuck between a rock and a hard place as a nation. Once being a ‘politician’ became a defined occupation we were always in trouble. Always.
I sort of look at this election cycle as a form of chemotherapy, with the potential to harm us significantly, but without which we cannot rid ourselves of the malignancy that will eventually kill us. I’m not saying that Trump is the best form of chemotherapy. He might be. He might not. But those who have thought about it know that we are not going to get by just by taking a couple of aspirin. Something profound has to happen, and our direction has to be significantly altered. I wish the candidates could stop the infighting and actually focus on what needs to be done to prevent us from going further down the road of losing America.
I've been thinking that way for years...but now I know it's coming to a head.
Very few have critical thinking skills anymore....
The majority on both sides.. our "soundbite" taken....The majority takes the bait...and is hooked. The majority stake a claim...and can't give it up.
I don't think I'm wrong...but will be pleasantly surprised if I am.....
Soap box — ballot box — cartridge box. Yep were progressing along nicely now.
We want you ALL on-edge and squirming.
That’s why we’re voting for the guy.
Amazing, every ridiculous over the top statement made toward Trump is really made to all his supporters, they really do fear us. Stay Trump Strong. And obviously the other candidates including Cruz are all GoPe.
