For me and probably Rush as well, its all about Finding out what they are up to next so we can counter it I keep saying over and over again on the Sunday Morning tv talk show thread: Know your enemy
Raise your hand if you really think Rush needs acceptance or wants to be a part of any gang that include val/jar or axeldork! He hates those clowns!
But if he can get any info into how they think or what is coming at us next,he's gonna do it,so am I. so is anyone concerned about the decline in the U.S. due to liberalism! For me that's what its all about about.
My guess is very similar thinking for Rush as well. Why else would you have dinner with your worst enemies in the world!!

They are all gonna be eating crow since Rush is a true conservative and believes what he says and says what he believes.You can’t do the level of radio he does otherwise.
Also Rush is still the absolute best broadcaster on the air today.He remains the gold standard and when he says something all the rest copy whatever it is.
Aside from a few lucid moments by Beck when he's not fraternizing with his chums few are in his league.
Also I know that there are no numbers for listeners in cars or internet listeners but my guess is both are way up there in proportion to anyone else. then there is 24/7 and replays on the bird.
All in all Rush has held up pretty well over the years,IMHO.

I don’t know who your “you guys” are, but you only addressed your post to me.
Take a look at my posts for the last 3 months (or 3 years)...and let me know if you find one critical remark about Rush. I tend to give Rush wide latitude.
As I said in post 368, “I don’t know yet what I think about Rush’ confession today. Just trying to clear up facts/discrepancies in my own mind.”
I should have been a bit more clear. I did address it to you because I know you are a Rush supporter. Really wasn’t a slam. Sorry.

At least Trump was the first to make illegal aliens and immigration an issue. He deserves credit for pointing out the danger of admitting Syrian immigrants - ISIS's secret weapon.
I will agree he is still #1 and I am in awe of his talent. Ratings are now much more scientific and accurate. In years past, listeners had to keep a diary of what they were listening to. Today, the ratings coding is inbedded in the audio. So whether in the car, home or bathtub, the listening can be measured. It’s not perfect, but it’s close. Believe me, iHeart which owns a huge number of Rush ‘ s affiliates as well as the syndicator of his show runs to advertisers with those numbers touting their accuracy and setting rates for the price of advertising. As well as for the 1200 stations of various formats owned by iHeart. And their competitors do the same.
Americans for Prosperity is a libertarian outfit. It would be a major surprise if they failed to endorse an open borders, global oriented character like Rubio. AFP might be charged with patriotism but they would never be convicted. Their loyalty is to the marketplace.
Why do you suppose that the major immigration activists were rejected by Rush for over a decade?
How does that accord with your idea that Rush has been “very reliably anti amnesty.”
They didn’t ask him for outright support, they simply asked him for a chance to explain the problems that illegal immigration was creating. And he wouldn’t do it. He wouldn’t even take phone calls on the subject.
What they got from him was a dismissal with the claim that immigration has always been controversial and this era was no different.
So you can disagree that this was how he behaved from the 1990s right through Dubya’s administration all you want, but disagreeing doesn’t change the facts.
He did next to nothing in the fight against illegal immigration, other than to finally comment on it when the grassroots rage against Dubya’s amnesty plan couldn’t be ignored.

You know rod, although we haven’t conversed much in my time at FR, we have had a few conversations on the Rush threads; they’ve always been cordial as best I can recall. This makes this comment from you very disappointing, and quite frankly, a little juvenile.
Yes, I’m well aware Rush is a human being capable (like all of us) of making mistakes. What Rush has done here, however, goes well beyond making a mistake; it goes to heart of what he says he stands for.
Rush has told us time and time again, one of the greatest risks our nation faces is unfettered Amnesty. He’s reminded us that unchecked Amnesty would prove fatal to our nation and way of life. Okay, if we believe what Rush says about Amnesty being a death knell to our uniquely American culture, then logically it should follow that a person advocating such an idea/position could not be a conservative who holds our nations values...right? Please explain how Rush could call Marco Rubio a “full-throated conservative” when Rubio willingly joined the likes of Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, and John McCain to craft an open borders piece of legislation that would’ve provided the Democrats a forever voting block, and would bring about the destruction of our culture Rush says he feared?
And now, only after he’s been outed by the media, does Rush come clean about a private meeting with Chuck Schumer and Lindsey Graham concerning this POS legislation in 2011!
Rush also took every occasion the past few weeks to make his snide little jabs at Trump for everything Trump said or did, while completely whitewashing Rubio’s participation in the Gang of Eight. This was unconscionable on rush’s part!
But in your world, you’re more concerned with me and other posters who are calling Rush out on his Bull sh*t! Sorry, I don’t worship Rush Limbaugh...never have.
Today’s show was an utter disgrace! He was grasping at anything he could; he knows how bad this really looks. My guess is, he’s been catching heck from his listeners, and for good reason.
BTW, Rush didn’t even mention the two significant endorsements for Trump this weekend from the two Navy Seals, and Senator Jeff Sessions! Huge news, and rush simply ignored it! We all know he would’ve been breathless if Sessions had endorsed Cruz. As I said, Rush’s show today was an utter disgrace!
Sorry you decided to save your disgust for me, and not for Rush.
