You know rod, although we haven’t conversed much in my time at FR, we have had a few conversations on the Rush threads; they’ve always been cordial as best I can recall. This makes this comment from you very disappointing, and quite frankly, a little juvenile.
Yes, I’m well aware Rush is a human being capable (like all of us) of making mistakes. What Rush has done here, however, goes well beyond making a mistake; it goes to heart of what he says he stands for.
Rush has told us time and time again, one of the greatest risks our nation faces is unfettered Amnesty. He’s reminded us that unchecked Amnesty would prove fatal to our nation and way of life. Okay, if we believe what Rush says about Amnesty being a death knell to our uniquely American culture, then logically it should follow that a person advocating such an idea/position could not be a conservative who holds our nations values...right? Please explain how Rush could call Marco Rubio a “full-throated conservative” when Rubio willingly joined the likes of Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, and John McCain to craft an open borders piece of legislation that would’ve provided the Democrats a forever voting block, and would bring about the destruction of our culture Rush says he feared?
And now, only after he’s been outed by the media, does Rush come clean about a private meeting with Chuck Schumer and Lindsey Graham concerning this POS legislation in 2011!
Rush also took every occasion the past few weeks to make his snide little jabs at Trump for everything Trump said or did, while completely whitewashing Rubio’s participation in the Gang of Eight. This was unconscionable on rush’s part!
But in your world, you’re more concerned with me and other posters who are calling Rush out on his Bull sh*t! Sorry, I don’t worship Rush Limbaugh...never have.
Today’s show was an utter disgrace! He was grasping at anything he could; he knows how bad this really looks. My guess is, he’s been catching heck from his listeners, and for good reason.
BTW, Rush didn’t even mention the two significant endorsements for Trump this weekend from the two Navy Seals, and Senator Jeff Sessions! Huge news, and rush simply ignored it! We all know he would’ve been breathless if Sessions had endorsed Cruz. As I said, Rush’s show today was an utter disgrace!
Sorry you decided to save your disgust for me, and not for Rush.
