No; but the GOPe *got* us to where our backs are against the Wall.
(Pun intended, come to think of it.)
I mean, look at the GOP record on our *own* Supreme Court justices -- Souter, Kennedy, O'Connor, Roberts, Hugo Blackmun (!), Earl Warren, ... there are probably others.
If we'd gone with what the movement conservatives had urged all along, some of these 5-4 decisions would have been 7-2.
Yeah, I know, Trump is a loose cannon, and Cruz is steady and dependable: but both the GOP-e and the Dems will fight the next GOP nominee tooth and nail: I honestly do not believe that Cruz will make it to the White House.
That being said, should he secure the nomination, I will fight like a Tiger to get him elected. (Fat chance: I live in Minnesota.)

Correct! And when Trump wins, he will have been chosen by the people. Like him or not, at least he’s won’t be an establishment plant like Jeb or Rubio. And a good portion of those voters will be liberals. If Trump gets elected, zero whining will be tolerated by you and all your fellow Trumpettes when Trump makes deals with the devils from the left side of the aisle.

That is a perfect analogy. A caring loving papa gives advice and warning to his beautiful daughter America 2016.
No Trump cannot stop his character, he can hide it for a day, but it will erupt at the most inappropriate time and place, much to dangerous for America to take her chances with.
He is border line insane......
