(Pun intended, come to think of it.)
I mean, look at the GOP record on our *own* Supreme Court justices -- Souter, Kennedy, O'Connor, Roberts, Hugo Blackmun (!), Earl Warren, ... there are probably others.
If we'd gone with what the movement conservatives had urged all along, some of these 5-4 decisions would have been 7-2.
Yeah, I know, Trump is a loose cannon, and Cruz is steady and dependable: but both the GOP-e and the Dems will fight the next GOP nominee tooth and nail: I honestly do not believe that Cruz will make it to the White House.
That being said, should he secure the nomination, I will fight like a Tiger to get him elected. (Fat chance: I live in Minnesota.)
