I used to be transgender. Here’s my take on kids who think they are transgender.

February 17, 2016 (DailySignal) -- When a 9-year-old boy who identifies as Stormi, a transgender girl, started selling Girl Scout cookies, one neighbor was not amused, according to Buzzfeed.

The neighbor rebuffed him, reportedly saying, “Nobody wants to buy Girl Scout cookies from a boy in a dress.”

The neighbor is being called transphobic—but perhaps the neighbor thought he was being pranked by a boy and reacted accordingly. Not everyone assumes that a boy in a dress selling Girl Scout cookies is transgender.

People Can Be Genderphobic

Stormi looked like a boy to the neighbor because he really is a boy. Transgender people may deceive themselves, but they do not deceive others.

Life in society is not some fantasy world where a boy should pretend he has magically transformed himself into a girl simply by uttering the words “I am a girl” and changing how he presents himself.

The people who strongly object to the honest reaction from a man saying, “Nobody wants to buy Girl Scout cookies from a boy in a dress” are perhaps gender-phobic, rejecting and ridiculing the reality of male and female genders.

The people who encourage very young kids to act out, switch genders, and live a life of pretend need to understand that Stormi could be suffering from a dissociative disorder, just as happened with me. My feelings of not wanting to be a boy started in early childhood as result of cross-dressing at the hands of my grandma.

Stormi could be in need of psychotherapy, not a dress.

Caregivers all too often collaborate with a mental disorder instead of treating it. Telling a psychologically troubled boy he has changed genders is not compassion, but can become reckless parenting. By withholding psychotherapy, parents could be abusing the kid.

My Transgender Story

Living in a self-made gender fantasy world void of reality is not psychologically or emotionally healthy.

I know that to be true. I was transgender kid at the age of 4. For decades, as I tried to live in my male birth gender, the feelings of being a woman only grew stronger.

I sought help from a renowned gender specialist who told me that mine was a clear-cut case of gender dysphoria—strong, persistent feelings of identification with the opposite gender and discomfort with one’s own assigned sex. He said the only way to get relief was to surgically change genders.

I underwent gender reassignment surgery at 42 years of age after cross-dressing for most of my life.

I lived as a transgender, Laura Jensen, female, for eight years. While studying psychology in a university program, I discovered that trans kids most often are suffering from a variety of disorders, starting with depression—the result of personal loss, broken families, sexual abuse, and unstable homes. Deep depression leads kids to want to be someone other than who they are.

That information sure resonated with me.

Finally, I had discovered the madness of the transgender life. It is a fabrication born of mental disorders.

I only wish that when I went to the gender counselor for help he would have told me I couldn’t really change genders, that it is biologically impossible. Instead, he approved me for gender reassignment surgery, a surgery that, if I had been provided proper psychotherapy, would never have been necessary or appropriate.

The Role Trauma and Psychological Disorders Can Play

The transgender life is often the direct result of early childhood difficulty or trauma. Assisting a young child into the fabricated ideology of a transgender life is not helping the child sort out what is real and what is fiction.

The likelihood that the child known as Stormi is suffering from separation anxiety or some other psychological disorder cannot be ignored. Stormi is living in a foster home. While it may be safe and necessary, foster care is intended to separate the child from the birth parent. This can lead to psychological disorders like separation anxiety disorder.

Separation anxiety occurs as the result of loss or separation from the birth parent. Disruption in a child’s home environment can lead to stress, depression, and anxiety. Living in a foster home even under the best conditions can be stressful to a young person.

Separation anxiety disorder and other psychological disorders can masquerade as gender dysphoria, leading caregivers and medical practitioners to misdiagnose and not provide proper or effective psychotherapies.

Stormi’s life will evolve as maturity unfolds. Most likely in 15 or 20 years, reality will set in that he really never changed genders. This is often a turning point where the trans life is not looking as good as it once did.

Thankfully, like me, many transgender persons return to the gender they once shed. Slowly they restore the life that was lost.

The three men who came up with the idea of changing boys into girls and making transgenders, Alfred Kinsey, Harry Benjamin, and John Money, were pedophilia advocates. (For more of the history, see “Sex Change” Surgery: What Bruce Jenner, Diane Sawyer, and You Should Know.)

The neighbor man was correct about one thing: The Girl Scout at his door was really a boy in a dress—just like I was as a young boy who thought I was a girl.

Here are some photos of the author, Walt Heyer, who is British and has been speaking out for some time now to try to help others with gender dysphoria not make the drastic surgical choices he had made under the recommendations of the marxist professional class:

Back from madness, and now with a method to help keep others out. Seems that should have some respect.

Church mavens who make cat calls should at least first try to do it at least as well in their environs. Almost like Jesus said, “I have not found someone with such faith in all Israel.”

“Renewing of your mind” exactly how? By the washing of the Word, or by the godless presuppositions of a profession that is, at most, 150 years old?

Sorry, HiTech. And you don’t realize that we are on the same side. The tools are our only disagreement. Are you in the psych field, since you are so defensive of it?

Look at the eyes - always those terrified, unblinking eyes you see in so many effeminate gay men.

Alfred Kinsey makes my blood boil and want to go postal on his studies. I have NEVER watched one movie by liam neesom after he played him in that lying piece of crud movie. I’m twitching now.

Great article. Saving it forever. Or at least until my hard drive goes.

Come Lord Jesus and avenge the little ones!

When he was young, yes, and as he explained, he had been sexually abused. But the oldest picture on the bottom is a rather serious expression. I applaud this man’s willingness to try to help others avoid a drastically life-altering surgery.

The first picture shows the usual geeky adolescent. But then you start seeing those eyes - what the playwright Martin Sherman called ‘fluff’ eyes. I’ve seen fluff eyes my entire life because my life revolves around theater. By the last photo, his eyes are more relaxed and in sync with his entire persona. Bravo!

I was what was called a Tom boy too. But never did I think of myself as a real boy. I always knew I was a girl. Confusion on this must be awful.

I have traversed through it and I have the utmost respect for what it has done and still is doing while so many churches are just staring at their navels.

YES, by the washing of the Word, in ways that a lot of churches aren’t even bothering to think about. They have come up with a mental model of God as some grouchy frump in the sky (that looks a lot like them, hmmmm) and filter all scripture through that. Then they wonder why they are seeing nominal salvations that never get off the ground. That’s why!

As for young professions... are you allergic to Darby theology? Not that much older. There IS such a thing as revelations of long-ignored truth, made in the proper time.

No, he is a genuine activist from UK trying to help other young people avoid surgical sex change as a solution to their confused feelings.

Oh also, pre-Freud is not that recent. It was selfish churches that sat on an effective take on the gospel, which left an opening for Freud. Just like Ted Cruz has left an opening for Donald Trump.

and where were the parents to tell this boy he is not a girl in the first place. Sounds like the parents have mental issues too.

The parents/grandparents were the problem:

The man who's had TWO sex changes: Incredible story of Walt, who became Laura, then REVERSED the operation because he believes surgeons in US and Europe are too quick to operate

Yup, those churches are professing to “wash” with water that THEY have dirtied.

And God hates that with a passion. You know how Jesus said that if the people would not praise, He would raise praise from the stones?

Well the stones are now shouting and all you can think to do is shout them down.

SHAME!

“We are destroying imaginations and every lofty thing raised up AGAINST the knowledge of God.”

Note this is, the knowledge of God, not the knowledge of church theology!!

Artists, actors, writers, speak from the depths of trauma and personal experience. I would be interested in a psych study that would put them on a bell curve with disorders on one end and positive activists on the other.

I have a suspicion it would be the same type of bell curve that occurs within the general population when a natural disaster or a 9/11 occurs.

Pardon me, fwdude, I just read that he was from LA, not UK. My mistake — I first learned about him in a UK newspaper. As one of the posters said above, don’t expect the US press to allow him any space to say that the trans thing is a crock.

And no, we are not on the same side, if that side is truth as borne out through the testimony of results (even Jesus appealed to that).

And yes, you had better be “sorry” for the wrath of God is coming, and not on what you think it is coming on!

You just sound pettily jealous. How about being REALLY jealous, and insist that your church theology be brought back up to what it ought to have been in the first place, before men dirtied it? You are so used to dirty, you hate clean!

Not all artists. Some grow up in ok circumstances. In fact, Stanislavski, the famous director of Chekov plays who also invented the much-maligned acting method, thought the best actors came from the solid middle class.

Many artistic types who grow up in dysfunctional homes just end up not doing anything important in their lives.

And if you are curious about my current situation... NOT going to a Christian shrink... and why should I, because unlike the world’s model, it isn’t to sell you a fish every week, it is to teach you how to fish. But I can tell you about the experience.

Dr. Jesus took over directly, once I was able (thanks to the help of the believers He sent to my side) to believe in what He was doing. Churches often seem to be doing more to obscure Him than to present Him in the limelight these days. The temptation is great: magnify your fiefdom, reduce the Lord.

I think Paul would advise Christians eager to evangelize: to those looking for a shrink, look like a shrink. Yes it is possible. That’s what the doctor who evangelized me did. Preachers today are expected to lay guilt trips; doctors are expected to empathize.

I am defensive because it is EFFECTIVE.

I’m now in a church setting where there is an extremely high praise quotient in the service, in fact I am one of the musicians. Some might hoot at that as “entertainment.” The bible calls it edification, however, and overrides those who hoot. Once more we have man’s ideas versus what God actually chooses to bless through.

I don’t know what else I could do to persuade you to be a believer, maybe I should raise someone from the dead? Well I don’t know about that, but blessing seems to strangely follow me around to the people I meet where I go, when the people are willing to accept it. Who often aren’t even Christians.
