Associate Justice Antonin Scalia was found dead of apparent natural causes Saturday on a luxury resort in West Texas, federal officials said.
Scalia, 79, was a guest at the Cibolo Creek Ranch, a resort in the Big Bend region south of Marfa. According to a report, Scalia arrived at the ranch on Friday and attended a private party with about 40 people. When he did not appear for breakfast, a person associated with the ranch went to his room and found a body.
U.S. District Judge Fred Biery said he was among those notified about Scalia's death.
"I was told it was this morning," Biery said of Scalia's death. "It happened on a ranch out near Marfa. As far as the details, I think it's pretty vague right now as to how," he said. "My reaction is it's really unfortunate with any death. And now, politically, in the presidential cycle we're in my educated guess is nothing will happen before the next president is elected."

This is going to be one of the important issues for on the GOP side running for President to appoint at least 3 more for it is an aging court.
I don’t think this resort was unsafe, and it probably is natural causes. The problem now is a lack of spine in the Republican Party, or the party is really in control of leftists forever.
So the Supreme Court blocks Obama’s carbon pollution schemes, he tells his supporters not to worry, than within a couple of days, justice starts dieing.

A few senators are allowed to pretend to put up a fight, just for show.. but they never actually achieve the desired results. I suspect the first thing that happens when they first take office is they're shown their NSA file and told that they have to play along if they don't want to be ruined.
VJ has already said that they’ll be appointing SC justices in the second term. Then it’s hell to pay for all those who were against them. I suspect Ginzburg will either die or another one will be taken out. This group plays for keeps.
The Republicans will make sure they appoint a Pro-Amnesty Judge, watch and see.
