"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

" Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." - John Quincy Adams

There’s something really sad about this.

Cruz had to actually go out and hijack an event totally unrelated to him in order to see what it feels like to talk to more than a handful of people at a time.

I thought Cruz was smart enough to see that his ticket to the presidency was as Trump’s VP.

I overestimated his IQ :-/

He is in a bad place now and lashing out wildly... driven at least in part by his realization of the burned bridges he has left behind him.

He could still reconcile with trump... but it gets harder every day :-(

I so longed for a Trump/Cruz ticket.

I still like Cruz and I think he has great potential.

I am so sick of seeing Ted Cruz demeaned on this website. We would be a blessed nation to have this Christian man be our leader. When I see people using his faith to ridicule him on this site , that I have always been so proud to be a part of, it really shakes me up. I feel like God has cast a pearl among the swine and we are watching them trample on it.

So did Cruz join a Christian rock band or did he glom onto to their crowd?

a throbbing, trembling Christian rock concert

First they accidentally got a porn actress and now they accidentally get a porn description of the "Christian" rock concert.

Now he has an idea how Donald Trump feels at just about every event he has held, and they are coming just for Donald.

Why did he got to this event and only speak for 6 minutes?

“Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all.” — President Ronald Reagan”

and then Reagan turned it over to “Read My Lips” Bush.... brilliant (not the best quote you could have used from Reagan).

BTW, did Ted’s use an earpiece to call out ailments and sickness in the audience and then call them up on stage to throw away their crutches and cure their cancer being that he now speaks with the Face of God according to his wife?

I do find it amazing that this televangelist candidate you have will raise so much money from so many people, just like the Bakers, Swaggart, Roberts and the rest of em.

Scary stuff. Maybe he can get a gold throne like that one indian looking guy I see on tv once in awhile who is always raising money for God.

Ted Cruz is the real deal.

After his 2nd place win in liberal NH, he named RELIGIOUS LIBERTY as one of his top priorities when he becomes president.

Well... this would have seemed the place, if there ever was any, for Cruz to make a personal testimony. THAT I could WELL understand. That’s what the music was all about, certainly.

To use it for a political promotion would be like going to a birthday party to lick the wax candles, or something.

“Ted Cruz leads a prayer with 14,000 cheering evangelicals in S.C.”

I was going to congratulate him on a crowd as big as Trump’s then I see they weren’t there to see him. Never let a concert go to waste.

Wow, no surprise again that Ted cheated to get a crowd. The crowd had already paid admission to a concert and Ted Cruz got himself an invite to say the prayer.
Winter Jam is a touring, four-hour show featuring born-again Christian rock and rap artists. It performed at Greenville's Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Friday night.

The tour accepts cash or check ONLY at the door for admission. You can use debit/credit cards once you get into the venue for concessions and merchandise. Checks should be made out to "NewSong Ministries."

Funny. Cruz goes to a rock concert to pretend he drew the crowd. This is like Obama in Germany where 2/3 of the crowd left after the music was over. At least Cruz was smart enough to get on stage first. But still misleading.

Smart move but actual draw of supporters would be more telling as far as support goes - been to Christian events and Promise Keepers and everyone gets caught up in a “commonality” that only seems to exist withing the event.
