Trump Change: 74% of GOP Voters Think Trump Likely Nominee
Rasmussen Reports ^ | Feb. 12, 2012 | Rasmussen Reports

Posted on 02/12/2016 3:03:17 PM PST by SatinDoll

What a difference a primary makes. After a one-week drop following Donald Trump’s second-place finish in the Iowa caucus, expectations that the New York businessman will be the Republican presidential nominee have jumped back to their highest levels.

Rasmussen Reports’ latest Trump Change survey, the first since Trump’s big win in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday, finds that 74% of Likely Republican Voters again feel he is likely to be the GOP nominee. This includes 40% who say it’s Very Likely, tying the high first reached three weeks ago.

Last week, 61% of Republicans still believed Trump was the likely nominee, but that was down from a high of 74% the week before.

Twenty-one percent (21%) of GOP voters say Trump is not likely to win the nomination, but that includes only six percent (6%) who feel it’s Not At All Likely. Those findings were up to 36% and 14% respectively a week ago. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

When Trump announced his candidacy in mid-June of last year, however, just 27% of Republicans – and 23% of all voters – said he was likely to end up as the 2016 GOP nominee.

Among all likely voters, 60% now think Trump is likely to be the Republican standard-bearer. That’s up from 52% in the previous survey but still short of the high of 63% reached two weeks ago. Thirty-three percent (33%) believe Trump will not be the nominee. These findings include 26% who say it is Very Likely that he will win the nomination and 12% who say it’s Not At All Likely.

He is worse than a liar. He is a snake oil salesmen - ask those whose money he lost. There is no way that a court jester like Trump will even sit in the White House.

I’ve come to an unavoidable conclusion after watching this campaign season unfold. There is a vast conspiracy afoot to elect Trump. The core of the conspirators’ group is made of up the rest of the candidates, assisted by their alleged “suppporters”.

IT’S THE ONLY THEORY THAT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING THAT HAS TAKEN PLACE!!!

Watch that jester make a fool out of you.

He tells the truth about America.

Oh, you mean the restructurings. Nobody took a bath. And that was a single figure percentage of his investments. You are really going to have to try harder.

He sings to your ears but doesn’t mean any of it. Does the term attention whore mean anything to you? That is all he is. Even Bernie has the possibility of destroying him.

You’ve got it backwards.

Trump is a Capitalist. The Globalists want to destroy Capitalism and install basically a feudal system with themselves in control.

He is paying for his own campaign. All the others, who are politicians owned by billionaire donors, will do what the uniparty tells them to do.

Your right those are states issues or the Supreme Court.

The overreach by the SC is an issue all by itself.

But outside of Social issues Cruz isn’t that good on the economy. (Free Trade, H1-B’s)

No I am just alarmed now seeing he will get the nomination. Another moderate squish like Romney and McCain to get eaten alive by the Democrat nominee.

Still a ways to go, but yes, if he does get the nomination, the media will have more than enough material to go negative, 24/7.

On the plus side, Cruz would be positioned well for 2020, if the country lasts that long.

Rest easy.

Trump hasn’t even started to dig in to either one, and why should he. That would give the Democrats a clue as to which one to field.

He’s blunt and call him mistaken all you want but he doesn’t B.S. you. He’s sincere. Hillary is a pack of B.S. She would lose on a hundred different things that FR has outlined quite well. Bernie? A crack from Donald about “Okay, Gen Xers. Bernie’s taxes will make your mothers unable to keep you living in her basement” or the like, will demolish his approach.

I feel pity for the poor Democrat fool... not for Trump at all.

Donald loves it when the media goes negative on him.

Every single solitary time his ratings go up.

“THROW ME IN THAT BRIAR PATCH AGAIN, OKAY?”

Y’see... the people hate the media.

The media is too full of self congratulations to notice this.

Donald is the foil. The media hates Donald, the people at once ask themselves, what did Donald do to deserve it? 99% of the time it was to say something that was unpopular to say but had a whole lot of truth in it.

Result: the media is the fool, Donald becomes the hero.

What makes you believe he is sincere? That’s my problem with him. If I thought he would really run on what he has said so far, I’d vote for him, despite what a jackass of a human being he is. But I just don’t believe him.

It's truly exciting!

Even still, it's sad that the Cruz and Jeb families probably won't be having a post-race Florida barbeque together.

Politics is not the issue, it's the food.   You see, Ted Cruz hates avocadoes, but Jeb and Columba are famous for whipping up a mean guacamole dip in those cute little guac bowls.

We're really going to miss Jeb getting a Trumping.   It would be nice if Trump lets Jeb get a few delegates so he'll stay on for more debates.

But barring that, at least Stump the Trump Studios has provided some touching memories and the analysis of Big Man Tyrone.
