Cruz to GOP: It’s either me or Trump
Hot Air ^ | 2/10/2016 | ED MORRISSEY

Premature or prophetic? While analysts tried to figure out who had a "ticket" coming out of New Hampshire, Ted Cruz told Salem's Mike Gallagher that only two tickets exist -- at least in first class. With a win in Iowa and a surprising third-place finish last night, Cruz warned the Republican Party that he's the only one in the field who can dethrone Trump:

"South Carolina historically has played a critical role picking presidents. And I think Iowa and New Hampshire perform an incredibly important function in narrowing the field and in many ways this field is becoming a two-person race between me and Donald Trump," the Texas senator said on the Mike Gallagher Show Wednesday. "What Iowa and New Hampshire demonstrate is that the only person in this field who can beat Donald Trump is me. The other candidates are not able to beat Donald Trump."

my only response to that

It's not really a response. Just an improvable assertion. What it basically means is that the "very conservative" voters, which was Ted Cruz's strongest group, weren't Cruz's strongest group because they were really all liberal mushes. You're basically picking and choosing conservatives based on who they support, even though the majority of Freepers support Donald Trump for President. With your logic, none of us are conservatives either.

Long story short: your humble opinion is just stupid and bigoted.

Then you have no one to support! Sorry but you can continue you life of ignorance of politics (and the corruption within). You will learn eventually, but it will probably be too late (for the latest generation).

I am officially endorsing Newt Gingrich for President today.

Trump may never even entertain Newt as a running mate, as VP, but the thought of it sure gets people scared. Wonder why?

Disrespecting Newt will not go over well. Newt won South Carolina primary just 4 years ago. You know, the same primary we are hoping Trump wins.

Newt is well thought of by conservatives. He won South Carolina and Conservatives LOVE Newt.

I think you are being disingenuous. I did not chose that measure of effectiveness I merely responded to someone else’s statement that the law that was proposed by Cruz and passed by the Senate demonstrated Cruz’s effectiveness.

I do not think Cruz has been ineffective. I just question the things he has chosen to support.

500 percent more B-1 Visas when American college grads with STEM degrees are unemployed.

His Proposed Bill, S306 “Enhancing Educational Opportunities for all Students Act” offers what is called Title 1 Money to all parents who home school. What he isn’t telling you is - all Title 1 Money comes with a string attached, Federal Control over your choice in how your child is educated.

Ted Cruz’s Federal Education “Choice” is a deceptive term that really means a choice to home school will now fall under the classification of “private school” with all the Federal bells and whistles tacked on the end, including the United Nations mandates of cooperation for world education.

And donnie will admittedly do anything and say anything to get elected. By that it can be interpreted to be lie, cheat and steal. To him it is win at all costs so consequently he has no honor, morals or principles.

Now what did somebody say about his past political contributions? Oh, yeah, they went to Harry, Nancy and Chuckie.

Yes to Newt.

Who even knows if Newt is on the short list if Trump wins the nom. But it is good to see what he opposition will try to throw at a Newt VP nom just in case.

LOL

LOL because the reasons for not having Newt has VP will result in zero reasons for anyone to change their view to not vote for Trump. Newt will only solidify Trump getting more votes.

I guess the fact that he has donated to both sides of the aisle and over his life has donated more to Republican Causes means nothing.

Conservatives are finally fed up with broken promises and voted as such. This nay not apply to the nation as a whole but it should. It is time for a real Conservative to step up and proclaim results (during election) or go away. It is not happening (again) but this time we are voting for anyone else.

Guess what, that means even Trump! Anybody outside of the corrupt GOP system. Really past time!

No, I don’t think that Trump has the answers, but listening to the media, it just might. After all, he scares the hell out of them, and that is a really good thing!

Well, I guess I’ll have to keep reminding you why you should care because you forget that Trump has been a liberal on immigration until 2015...did you forget him attacking Mitt Romney for being harsh on illegal aliens warning Romney he would lose the Latino vote? Don’t you know The Donald employs them at his golf course, in his hotels, to build his hotels, etc. I’ll believe he’s battling political correctness when he has the guts to utter the word queer or renounces his long held support of the homosexual agenda.

As far as Newt , he sold out the Second Amendment , and gun owners will never forget .. at the behest of the Klintons ,Newt opened the door for misdemeanor loss of gun rights ... Newt is a disgusting traitor to the Second Amendment and that’s just the start ... want to talk about trade and immigration ...how about Newt’s idiotic “3rd wave” books ....globalist shill
