Premature or prophetic? While analysts tried to figure out who had a "ticket" coming out of New Hampshire, Ted Cruz told Salem's Mike Gallagher that only two tickets exist -- at least in first class. With a win in Iowa and a surprising third-place finish last night, Cruz warned the Republican Party that he's the only one in the field who can dethrone Trump:
"South Carolina historically has played a critical role picking presidents. And I think Iowa and New Hampshire perform an incredibly important function in narrowing the field and in many ways this field is becoming a two-person race between me and Donald Trump," the Texas senator said on the Mike Gallagher Show Wednesday. "What Iowa and New Hampshire demonstrate is that the only person in this field who can beat Donald Trump is me. The other candidates are not able to beat Donald Trump."

No, I’m a conservative from North Carolina that signed up for this forum based on shared values. As for stirring up fights, Trump supporters are dishonestly denigrating a conservative with a proven record on behalf of a blowhard entertainer that bankrolled Senate & Congressional Democrats, NY Democrats, and gave the Clinton Foundation $100,000...I’m in shock and disbelief that a registered Democrat is being touted as a conservative over the actual conservative with all the vitriol of a smear machine. Excuse me for having my own opinion or begging to differ!

And yet... you folks hang on every word - why? Could it be that we have become so consumed by how the media reacts to an election that we forget the reason why we are voting in the first place? Most likely as it really has nothing to do with why we should be voting for whomever in the first place!

Now see, what I took away from Cruz's comments in that interview was the way the Iranians treated our sailors after taking us to the cleaners first in the deal that Kerry and oblammer are so proud of. The Kerry clip even praised what a good job diplomacy does protecting us.
And also how oblammer and Kerry do nothing to rein in NK.

The problem is that you think there is a difference between a Democrat and a Republican or a Conservative and a Liberal. It seems to be a matter of who they can appeal to during elections. Good luck.

A Trump Newt ticket SCARES both the Left and the Establishment with good reason. Anyone who bashes Newt Gingrich after all he has done for our country and after knowing how much he loves and respects our country should be ASHAMED for going against a true patriot who has more in common with our founders that most others. Newt bashers are deranged.

Around 70 percent of NH primary voters identified as ranging from slightly conservative to "very," up from last election and was supposed to be good news for Cruz. Of that 70 percent, 25 percent described themselves as "very conservative." This group was Cruz's strongest voter group. Cruz won 23 percent of that vote. Trump won 35 percent of that group.
2016 is too important and I’ve been waiting too long to see a conservative in the White House only to be thwarted by a faux conservative.
You hear what the candidate and the media wish you to hear. Too bad that you don’t look into politics as it has happened in the last few decades though. Maybe you would understand that perception sells and they hope that the media bites.

Cruz has the Canadian thing going on that most people likely don’t know about yet. I would not be surprised if many people do not know who Cruz even is. Once people get to know him and learn about his Canadian issue, I expect it won’t help him much.

You are still not understanding: Even if we take away all cross over votes, all independents, Trump still wins New Hampshire against ALL the candidates, especially Cruz.

Those citizens of NH describing themselves as conservative do not know what the word implies or the ideology it denotes. IMHO.
