Cruz to GOP: It’s either me or Trump
Hot Air ^ | 2/10/2016 | ED MORRISSEY

Premature or prophetic? While analysts tried to figure out who had a "ticket" coming out of New Hampshire, Ted Cruz told Salem's Mike Gallagher that only two tickets exist -- at least in first class. With a win in Iowa and a surprising third-place finish last night, Cruz warned the Republican Party that he's the only one in the field who can dethrone Trump:

"South Carolina historically has played a critical role picking presidents. And I think Iowa and New Hampshire perform an incredibly important function in narrowing the field and in many ways this field is becoming a two-person race between me and Donald Trump," the Texas senator said on the Mike Gallagher Show Wednesday. "What Iowa and New Hampshire demonstrate is that the only person in this field who can beat Donald Trump is me. The other candidates are not able to beat Donald Trump."

I’ll give my weekly trip to the grocery report for rural South Carolina. This week the Trump signs have increased though they have always been the most numerous. Carson still taking second place and one Cruz sign. None for Bush and none for Rubio or anyone else.

You are correct. We need to step back and thank our candidates. I would think most of us here would prefer to have these two running in the lead over all the others.

New Hampshire is one tiny state. Cruz won in Iowa.

Cruz won the Iowa caucus, very corrupt and unprofessional system, with people just writing down their candidate's name on a sheet of paper and tossing it into a basket. No security to insure protection of votes or if you only voted once, and captain precincts outright telling lies to voters as they vote. Voter participation also very low in comparison to New Hampshire. This system was good for Ted Cruz. The primary system is much better, and a corrupt and mighty ground game is far less effective.

Under such an atmosphere, Cruz lost even the conservative vote in New Hampshire to Donald Trump. We could remove all independents, all moderates, all slightly conservative people, and Trump still wins New Hampshire.

While I too believe it will be a choice between Cruz and Trump, I am not convinced Cruz has sewn that up yet.

As much as I don’t really care for it, Bush and Rubio are nipping at his heels.

It remains to be seen if Cruz can keep them at bay.

When you have a Government that is not run by the people, for the people and of the people, you do not have a Country...

When you have a Government that doesn’t listen to what the people are saying and wanting done to make a Nation better, you do not have a Country...

When you have a Government that sends all of the manufacturing and jobs for the people of the country to foreign countries, you do not have a Country for it’s people...

When you have a Government that will allow anyone from anywhere to come into a Country without protecting its citizens first and foremost, you do not have a Country...

When you have a Government that takes away any of your freedoms, healthcare, economy, protection, you do not have a Country...

When you cannot find enough money to live on because your Government is funding foreign countries first, you do not have a Country...

When a Government will not abide by the Constitution it was given to follow, you do not have a Country...

When you have a Government that won’t allow people to honor their religion, you do not have a Country...

Therefore, in the situation we are in today at this present time, we have one person who is an American, born on American Soil, and has built the American Dream for us to follow will give this Country back to it’s people where it belongs...

And that person is Donald J. Trump....

Trump has pretty much 100% flop flops on both people and issues. Trump: “I am very capable of changing to anything I want to change to.”

By the way, as for one tiny state. Trump got more delegates out of his win than Cruz did from his.

If Trump was not in the race and Cruz was the only choice then the RNC and all the establishment would broker the convention if they had to to keep him from getting the nomination.

Cruz isn’t Trump with a yearly income of $400 million from his private corporation, and yet they still threaten to screw over Trump who could fight them all the way.

A friend of mine pointed this out, a vote for Cruz just means he gets stepped on with the help of FOX and the lib media.

My friend said he thinks Trump is the only one who showed Fox cannot push him around.

Trump won NH by 20 percent not going to the debate, Rubio and Cruz got attacked going to the debates, Trump saw the ambush and managed to avoid the trap and raise $6 million for the Veterans in the process.

He’s been consistent for a long time ... Cruz OTOH , well he waits to see what Trump says and then jumps on Trump’s coat-tails

Cruz won just one more delegatge than Trump in Iowa. Besides that, IA will go for the communists in the general. The primaries will long be forgotten by that time.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to be thankful about Trump. Trump is not a conservative and he will basically kill off conservatism. He is for universal healthcare and has fondness for progressive policies. What is to guarantee that he will not be shifting his policies “back” to his natural state? Remember that he is in his mid-70s. And he has been a progressive oligarch all his life. He is paying lip service to his idiotic fans, but when he sees a good deal from the dems, he will jump on it.

Trump cannot be trusted. TrusTed!

Cruz warned the Republican Party that he’s the only one in the field who can dethrone Trump

***********

That sounds like he wants the GOPe to back him. That also clearly defines Trump as a true outsider.

CRuz is already nicely hooked up with the GOPee. The latest proCRuz PAC is headed up by none other than Mitch McConnell/Chamber of Commerce attorney, Eric Lycan.

Yes, Trump IS the true outsider....in the whole race, on either side.

Trump is the ONLY candidate NOT amnesty/Special Interest/Cheap Labor Express PAC owned.
