RUSH: Grab a quick phone call here in the first hour. We'll go to Greg in the steel city. Greg in Pittsburgh. It's great to have you, sir. Hi.
CALLER: Hey, Rush. How are you?
RUSH: I'm good. Thank you.
CALLER: Hey, with Mr. Trump's latest victory last night, I think the Republican voters have to start getting in the mind-set of not so much as, you know, Trump, you like what he says and kind of entertaining and spontaneous and however crudely, you know, during his rallies. I think we have to start looking at him in the Oval Office, as president. It's all good and well to reject the Republican establishment I think. Many, many people understand that. But can you picture a President Trump representing the country, like at a state funeral, representing the high --
RUSH: Greg, it's interesting that you -- 'cause Trump himself addressed this on the NBC Nightly News. I'm looking at the clock. We can squeeze these in, but I'm gonna have to play them again to analyze 'em. Trump was asked by Lester Holt last night, how different a Trump presidency would be from a Trump campaign. That's essentially what the question was.
HOLT: Last night you used a pretty vulgar term, repeating something someone in the crowd had said. And I'm wondering to myself, would you say that as president of the United States --
TRUMP: No.
HOLT: -- with that seal on the podium?
TRUMP: Much different. Much different.
HOLT: So are you gonna be a different guy as president than the one we see out here?
TRUMP: I went to the best school; I was a good student; I have an uncle who was, you know, one of the top, top professors at MIT. I mean, there's a good gene poll right there. I have to do what I have to do.
RUSH: "So Donald, you're saying this is an act?"
TRUMP: No, it's not an act. Last night I had thousands of people, we had a great time, and it wasn't my word; it was a word that a woman kept shouting, and I repeated it. I only repeated the word. And the place was wild. Standing ovation, everybody --
HOLT: But that doesn't mean it was in good taste.
TRUMP: Well, no, but I'll tell you what. When you're president or if you're about to be president, you would act differently. It's not a question of acting. I want to be different. You're being hit from 15 different sides. I want to be different. When you're president, you act in a different way, there's no question about that. And I would do that.
RUSH: Okay. I don't have time to get into it now, but he's gonna be different. You have to be, you have to be different when you're president. Donald Trump.

Trump is a negotiator. He surrounds himself with people who are specialists in whatever he is negotiating. I imagine before he begins negotiating with the democrats and “stubborn” republicans, he will know all about the subject at hand and the people with whom he is dealing. He will have met with the Generals of the military, he may even go into the “field” (bases) and speak with enlisted personnel, to get the “feel” of what needs the military have.
I remember when Mr. Reagan was a presidential candidate, people didn’t think he was capable to leading our country, overseas they called him “the actor”. I know I was there, listening to their tv announcements. It’s the same here. I’m sure Mr. Trump already knows many of the world leaders.
A President Cruz would, I am sure, have a difficult time with the House and Senate. But Cruz is more committed to repealing Obamacare, reigning in spending, and reducing government than Trump is. I think he has a better chance of forging alliances among the Republicans, certainly the conservative wing of the Republicans, than a President Trump would.
I really wished people would keep their mind out of the gutter. Pussy can also mean a cat or kitten or a person who has a kind and gentle nature and this is perhaps what the woman mean. Trump just had a dirty mind
There is a difference between government and business. Trump is used to negotiating where both sides are willing to move to the middle. The Democrats position is to make sure a Trump administration is a failure and Trump is a one-term president. Where is the middle ground on that?
The issues are different, too. Take Planned Parenthood. Conservatives want it completely defunded. Democrats want it fully funded. Where is the middle ground that both sides could agree to? Taxes. Democrats want them raised on the wealthy and Trump wants to cut them for the wealthy. Where is the compromise in that? Syria. Trump wants to beat ISIS, send in the troops, and take the oil. Where is the middle ground there? Trump talks about making deals. In politics deals often aren't possible, or even desirable. How will Trump handle that?
That's when he was a Democrat. Now he will be a Republican president. Bipartisanship is over.
“Trump just had a dirty mind”
Oh, so now you’re a member of the “Pshchic Friends Network?” You’re reading people’s minds too?
Trump's ignorance/contempt for the Constitution is displayed every day. And his ability to work with the Senate and the House will be non-existent.
There is a reason Harry Reid and Chuck Shumer are confident they could work with a President Trump. If the days of bipartisanship are truly over, what does their confidence tell you?
Full Definition of pusillanimous
: lacking courage and resolution : marked by contemptible timidity
pu·sil·lan·i·mous·ly adverb
a.k.a pussy
An ancient Latin word. You know how words tend to get shorted, right?
H/t Marie
That they underestimate Trump?
You obviously didn’t pay attention
Why tell me was he peeped than?
Which I always said, and Trump supporters bashed me for it.
I seem to remember many past presidents held in high esteem, with a notorious reputation relative to the time they served in.
What an interesting situation it would be to observe a man/woman like any other man/woman with certain beliefs and different to that the majority but makes the foundation of the US Constitution tantamount, to the true success of the nation/states over his/her own views.
The public seems to be very open to trade offs, especially if the indiscretion does not affect them directly(B.Clinton)and this election will be no different.
And you think they are sincere? Really?
Change in manner of speaking. I believe he is capable of not using boot camp language. I pray if he is in the White House he gets “the greatest speech writer in the nation” because he needs it.
Anyway, here is where I liked him the best, in manner of speaking. Didn’t know what they were talking about and keep forgetting to do the research.
Here is is talking to Congress about the economy when he had brown hair (which I also like) in 1991.

Yes, after all, he ihas been one of their donors. Like I said, they have history.
