A day after the New Hampshire primary, Republican presidential hopefuls were set Wednesday to fan out across South Carolina and begin jockeying for the first-in-the-South primary that has a history of picking the eventual nominee.
Billionaire businessman and reality TV star Donald Trump has the early edge in polling there and in other key states as the race turns to the South and West over the next six weeks.
South Carolina has the potential to launch Mr. Trump into victories in a series of delegate-rich multistate primaries next month and turn his campaign into an unstoppable juggernaut toward the nomination.

In a two way race I think Cruz beats him because Cruz understands the issues and has well thought out solutions. But it's not a two way race yet.
Do you have any idea how much the Republican party has invested in the Dynasty? You know about the Dynasty's CIA connections? I would not want to be Trump for the next few months.

We can hope, but, unfortunately, many are 1 or 2 issue voters and can’t see the big picture for this country.

I know that I’m a one-issue voter this election, but I think that’s because if we lose on the immigration issue, we lose on every other issue in the long run.

I think I see it that way too. I was referring to those who look only at social issues. Without national security, there won’t be any freedoms left for any of us. That was what I meant by the big picture. Social issues are important to me as well, but those are at risk as well without securing our borders and keeping out those who want to harm us and take over our country.
If you want to conserve anything you have to win. I'm sure Rick Santorum would be the strongest pro-life candidate ever but he can't even win the primaries, forget about the general election. I'm sure Ted Cruz has forgotten more about the Constitution than Donald Trump has ever known. But he's struggling to stay ahead of Jeb Bush in New Hampshire, a state sympathetic to Cruz's Live Free or Die principles.
I don't bash Ted Cruz's principles, I question his political skill. Get a strong, pure conservative nominated and I'll vote for him. If Cruz wins I'll vote for him and put out a giant yard sign.
But in my heart I know Cruz is a long shot, even against Sanders, while Trump is a slam dunk.
South Carolina folk go for a strong leader, not wimps.They could care less who the RINO republicans in the state endorse.
