The Carson campaign has been critical of Cruz after his campaign spread false rumors during the Iowa caucus, and sent voicemails to Iowa precinct captains suggestings that Carson was dropping out of the race.

Cruz must think the Carson “thing” is hurting him and he is trying to make up. To late as the damage has been done. You cannot undo it.

Forget Ben Carson. He’s in league with Trump’s plan to try to make a mountain out of a molehill. Carson is just using this issue in a craven attempt to get his lazy, mismanaged campaign off life support.
Who cares other than Trump and Carson supporters?

This is what we can expect from candidates who hail from The World’s Greatest Deliberative Body. All of them.
He got caught lying about the only black candidate dropping out. So many in the media think he’s a dirty racist. Which is tough, because until then most of the media were shilling for him against Trump.
Or Cruz is actually an honest person and very upset.
The only dishonest candidates I’ve seen have been Trump (blowing nonsense and making up lies about people), Bush (same), and Rubio for his dishonesty re: immigration.
Why does Cruz continue to drag out an issue that he’s apologized twice for and denied any wrongdoing?
Because he knows his campaign screwed up and probably injured Carson, just as the CNN debunking of his lies shows.
It isn’t the first time Jeff Roe has done that, so we know it was deliberate.

Please show me the lie. Provide a link to Cruz's statement. I have been waiting a week now for someone to do so. The charge that Cruz lied continues to be tossed about by Trump supporters, but I have yet to see a single one produce the quote showing that Cruz lied.
Ironic, isn't it? Those faking outrage about someone lying are actually lying themselves. Go figure.
I’m thinking its only a 50-50 chance that Cruz is going to be re-elected to Senate.
He needs to wake up and see the reality of what he has done to himself.
He has no support in the Senate, 1/3 of his base is angry with him and the RAT machine is still alive in TX.
Believe me, I want him back in the Senate but any chance of becoming VP is probably gone.
