(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), asked to respond to North Korea's test of an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching the United States, called for an expanded missile defense capacity and a "hardened" electrical grid.

But first, he noted that President Bill Clinton relaxed sanctions against North Korea, just as President Obama has relaxed sanctions against Iran: "So, what we are seeing with North Korea is foreshadowing of where we will be with Iran."

At Saturday's Republican debate...

You can nitpick all you want, but the fact is Cruz has 97%-100% conservative/pro-liberty VOTING RECORD. And he says he didn’t like the Corker bill, but felt that he had to held his nose and vote for it in the hopes that it might delay Obama’s suicidal Iran deal.

And for North Korea, you can thank the Klinton Krime Family and Madame All-Dim.

Cruz is right. However, I'd settle the entire F-ing Iran mess once and for all with one of these, and threaten any country who takes further action against the United States.

If voting for TPA and the corked bill is conservative/pro-liberty, then I don't have any use for conservative/pro-liberty. I did not leave conservative/pro-liberty, conservative/pro-liberty left me.

You need to use about 10 of them at the same time in strategically placed spots.... but yeah... your sentiment is likely to be effective.

Wrong:

“There are a number of Republicans on that (debate) stage who support TPP, who support (the Trade Promotion Authority),” Cruz stated. “I voted against TPA and I intend to vote against TPP.”

If social issues are the only issues you are concerned about then Ted is your guy.

If you are concerned with national security he is not the right guy.

Ted voted for cloture on TPA. Once that was done his vote for the actual bill meant nothing.

It is called Kabuki Theater. Look it up.

Cruz stated. "I voted against TPA and I intend to vote against TPP."

If you believe that perversion of the facts, it's clear why you would support cruz. Not only did cruz vote for TPA, he fought like hell to get it through congress. In fact TPA was the only time cruz ever successful demonstrated any leadership at all in the Senate. Well, unless you consider reading Dr. Suess on the Senate floor leadership.

Cruz is right!! What we have here ( and this was mentioned on Rush) is a failure of Madalyn Albight and Hillary Rodham Clinton as Secretaries of State. They wanted to feed the snake and pet the snake . They wanted to send food and bottled water and suit cases full of money carried by Bill Richardson to these killers. Here is what I propose to our new president as to what we should do. Enhance our Nuclear weapons ( they are horrible in disrepair and need replacement.) We need to enhance and strengthen our missiles and naval off shore nuclear weapons and air force delivery systems .
Then we should recognize that unless we want to have countries like China telling this sovereign nation what to do- that we just back off of telling other sovereign counties what to do.
Finally, if we see any real threat of an attack to the Unites States of America we turn North Korea into a big sand box.
We lived 30 years of my life with 5000 missiles with nuclear war heads pointed straight at this country and the Russians never pulled the trigger. The human brain sends this signal to each human on earth every day. “ I DON”T WANT TO DIE” . This is why we won the cold war. North Korea, my friends, is a joke but we need to send that message to those people so their brains will start the right signal instead of playing us as a bunch of wussies.
