The feminists want equality. They pretend not to know what equality means. They want the privileges without any of the responsibilities.
I know, but sometimes I just can’t help myself.
Cruz is nuts!
It’s for South Carolina home of both Army and Marine basic training. Large Army basic training at Ft Jackson, and total Marine basic at Lejeune.
The military community is huge, and South Carolina is a possible place for Cruz to stop the Trump surge or at least to get it started.
You got it.
There is another flyer out. This one is attributed to the GOPe? Who knows. It damn sure was not put out by Trump. I know one thing for certain that Cruz’s ole man is full of it as the INS does not issue SS cards.
You will have to find out from Trump’s people what they believe.
I want the Romney, Burr, Gramm & Sununu boys drafted first.
I’ve heard commentators reference the military community in South Carolina as though it would benefit Rubio. This has puzzled me.
Read my post.
I didn’t say women should be required to fight.
I said people who meet the physical and mental requirements for the job should be required to fight.
There should not be an adjunct set of lower standards allowing people who can not meet the actual standards required for survival to serve. Register women for the draft, fine. Go for it. But only draft people who meet the requirements, which won’t be women nor even all the men.
Sadly, not one of the candidates on either side had military experience with the exception of Jim Webb who dropped out of the democrat primary a few months back.
Maybe they think Cruz and Rubio have more appeal to the military because their states have so many military bases???
I don’t know. My sense as a 24+ year retiree is that if you haven’t been there, then you aren’t part of it and never will be. Not to say that they can’t lead effectively, but I will always prefer a conservative president and military experience would be a huge bonus.
No, actually all one has to do is LISTEN to the DONEald. DONEald’s lemmings (people?) just blindly repeat whatever the DONEald says. Its that enticing Pied Piper flute that has em marching right for the cliff.
Didn’t see the conference where he said that.
Focus in this, or was he merely answering a question?
It is a relevant topic because a couple 4-starts said they support including women in the draft. . .14th Amendment, you know.
Back in the day when the ERA was being debated, Phyllis Schlafly mentioned with the ERA WILL come women being required to sign up for Selected Service and possibly be drafted.
The draft still exists, just not active. . .we even have a budget for it, we are paying for people to administer the draft. https://www.sss.gov/Portals/0/PDFs/Budget%20Justification%202016.pdf
“I doubt that there’s many people out there worried about the draft.”
Oh, and I am sure people were saying the same thing when it came to homosexuals openly serving in the military and women in combat roles.
Silliness must be guarded against.
Post 35, 36.
That is an odd and ujustified response.
Yeah, right, and same-sex marriage was never going to happen either. Radical leftist change is happening more rapidly than you can imagine and mostly because the RINO establishment hack idiots like Rubio, Bush and Christie either agree with it or are too cowardly and afraid of feminazis and the leftist media to fight it.
The Supreme Court would probably as of this day make drafting women mandatory by law with a stroke of the pen. This is why we need someone who is guaranteed to appoint conservative justices. The clear choice is Cruz.
Yep, and because the Supreme Court has now written the ERA into the Constitution de facto with their same-sex marriage ruling, women will be forced into selective service the second the issue hits the courts. Only Cruz can be trusted to turn the court’s direction around with conservative justices.
