His pattern of giving kids footballs after a touchdown is really a damn nice touch. Those kids will remember it for the rest of their lives.
Yep, nice for the ONE kid in the stands, but he just sent a message to millions of kids that you don't have to have manners with his pouting crap after the game.
I didn't see that one, but I remember years ago when Vince Ferragamo - Rams QB - took the infamous "Phantom Sack"....he dropped back, saw a semblance of a rush, and immediately hit the ground in a tight fetal position.....when nobody was within 10 feet of him.
That and the rolling on the sidelines in a tantrum.
He is average according to QB rating and almost every other stat...even in a remarkable season. His top league defense puts him in very favorable position almost every drive. You saw what happens last night when they don’t. Put him on a team with an average defense like Brady’s and see what happens.
Pride cometh before the fall.......
Nothing else to be said....
The classless showboating he and his team have displayed all season, and don’t get me wrong, they aren’t they only ones guilty of it, are why I generally cannot stand professional sports.
His behavior after the loss showed, as expected, the same lack of class.
It was my conclusion that because the nose of the ball rolled on to the ground, there was insufficient evidence to over turn the call. Speaking of rolling on the ground— did you see Cam Newton in fetal position rolling on the ground like child when it hit him they would lose? It was sad to watch. Very embarrassing. Then he could not handle post game at all. Sad loser.
He actually played a crappy game. The first duty of a QB is to avoid turnovers.
I had no horse in the race, but had to argue with all the experts at work that Denver’s defense was the unknown that could kill Carolina. I also tend to side with a team that shows class rather than thuggish hot dog behavior. Manning showed himself to be a man, Cam a great athlete with an inflated opinion of himself. They always look great when kicking a subpar team that is down, against the good ones, not so pretty.
Agreed.
Yes. He has the emotional maturity of a four year old. It’s very strange.
I hope someone is with him to care for him. He just never faced mortality before. He will be ok.
He played it.
Big time.
He should have simply shut up about an issue that very few really care about, but he couldn't get beyond his moronic liberal plantation upbringing.
One of the most successful quarterbacks in the league, very rich, very accomplished, and he had to bring up his being black as something important.
In his mind, it was important. It helped people think less of him in the future, that's all it did. May the lesson be learned by these hypocrites some day.
I thought they scored a lot of points early in games; were those defensive points (interceptions/fumbles)?
