Poll: Trump’s lead grows in NH days before primary

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s lead widened in New Hampshire just days before the primary, according to the latest CNN/WMUR tracking poll.

Thirty-three percent of likely Republican primary voters said they support Trump, giving the billionaire a 17-point lead over his closest GOP rival. Trump gained 5 points from a similar tracking poll last week.

Trump now has more than double the support of Sen. Marco Rubio, who came in second with 16 percent support.

Sen. Ted Cruz has 14 percent for third place.

Gov. John Kasich follows with 11 percent, while no other GOP candidate broke single-digit support.

The poll, according to CNN, was completed as Saturday’s debate in New Hampshire started.

And that lady from Cruz’s freshman year, Beardsley I think her last name is. Said Cruz had no friends, was arrogant and called her mom a w*h*—re

It’s on some Dem sites and Twitter, with the lady’s name and quotes. Her pic is out there too. She isn’t hiding her story.

So Christian.

“The media has always been tough on Trump and easy on Cruz.”

That’s just a flat out laughable lie. ABC didn’t even mention Cruz the first ten minutes of warmup before the debate, even after he won Iowa.

As an aside, without free media, Trump would be nowhere.

I do as well. We don’t need a pedigreed debutante in the WH. We need a Pit Bull!

If delicate daisies get their sensibilities burnt in the process, it’s a bonus!

Our softer than hell nation needs to toughen up and FAST! It won’t be pretty but the alternative is far uglier IMHO.

“So Christian.”

That’s what gets me — those who grow up non-religious, see this guy and think he is representative.

Humility Ted, some learn it later than others.

“The surefire formula for picking a presidential winner is to NOT make the candidate who wins NH our nominee.”

President Huckabee and President Santorum approve this message.

“Would someone please post a copy of Cruz’s 10-page single spaced plan to fix...[I can’t remember what since I was laughing my head off that he had a 10 page-single spaced position paper on anything]? I wanted to read it so I can better understand what kind of a genius can’t summarize his key points in a couple of lines.

Maybe Cruz could read us some lines from one of his Supreme Court briefs.”

Hey, capillaries and footnotes for the win!

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Trump/Cruz ticket. If so, they won’t have an easy time but I do believe they can win in the long run. Remember the early meeting between the two.

Christie really exposed Rubio as a polished elected official who is lost with his rehearsed words.
Rubio just kept repeating the same lines and had a nightmare night.

No..it was the prior builder who went bust that offered her 1 million.

And your right, she should have taken the cash and ran back to San Fran where they would have welcomed her with open arms.

Now she has got nothing..if she is even alive. 2010 she moved in to a old folks facility in San Fran. The place was sold, as you stated, in auction.

There have been many instances of not a lot of love lost between Presidents and Vice Presidents. It’s a match made for political expediency, not because they’re best buddies. Reagan didn’t much care for Bush.

He’s already lowering his “expectations.”

His performance last night wasn’t a victory for him — his internals must be killing him.

He’s such a narcissistic SOB.

Rubio had a Rick Perry moment last night.

What happened? I had to miss the whole thing.

political beating Trump took in Iowa, losing with literally a 14 point swing from polling to actual results

I have heard this repeated many times here with some people claiming Trump underperformed by over 20%. I would like some links to the actual polls taken before the caucus that showed he was going to win by such a large margin. The polls that I saw showed Trump leading by approximately 3% but the same polls showed momentum for both Cruz and Rubio. Even Trump with all his bravado was only saying that he was hopeful because of the numbers, but I do not remember him predicting victory even when pressed repeatedly. Cruz beat Trump by 3.3%, not exactly a "beating" and it is possible that some of the dirty tricks Cruz pulled did translate into votes. But again... Where do you get your numbers?

Yup. I don’t usually listen to Rove, but when he explained that it would only take 4 votes being changed from Carson to Cruz in each district, then mathematically it was a piece of cake to put Cruz into first.

If every caucus got the message that Carson was out and vote for Cruz, which it would appear they did, then there was definitely a switch in the numbers and the polls would be irrelevant.
