Red State ^ | February 7, 2016 | Dan Spencer

Sen. Ted Cruz won the New Hampshire GOP debate. Cruz managed to stay above the hand to hand combat between the desperate governors and Sen Marco Rubio and Donald Trump. He gave great answers to the ABC News moderators, some of whom spent the night fishing for sound bites that could be used to help the Democrats' eventual nominee.

Gov. Chris Christie went after Sen. Marco Rubio early and seemed to rattle him. Unfortunately Christie came across as...

he talked a pretty good game beforehand with his “trumper-tantrum” bit, but actually being in the room with Donald must have spooked him. Happens a lot.

No no no no no

Please no VA for Carson. He can’t run his own campaign. He’s not a leader and is disorganized

Trumps childish antics, starting with that crap at the beginning, deflated his good moments.

Yes they were. He was the only one who laid out detailed policies.

I am Canadian but my friend is American working on a contract for the next three years. American politics for Canadian is a big f*en deal. We are affected in dramatic ways with what happens in the US. I love the US and I am in awe of your Constitution. As a result, I am a student of American history and politics. If I can be an American tomorrow, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Good. I’ll take about four or five more of those “wins” and The Donald can start with the general election.

I particularly liked the part where Cruz agreed with everyone, including Trump, on women in combat.

It helps that he lifted them from Trump.

And for all his alleged brains, Teddy bear still can’t figure out what carpet bombing is. He’s had time since the last debate to get informed. Puzzling.

"It's Red State they love Cruz and Bush and filter all their opinions thusly."

The logic behind such an odd pairing is painfully obvious.

Oh brother. He is a man of integrity something Cruz has no understanding of. Cruz has wanted to be President since birth....that is dangerous. He is a win at all cost type. He is Nixon and we saw how that turned out. Nixon basically went down during an election season just like Cruz should. I can't wait for the day Cruz gives his farewell address. Americans cannot possibly want to have a President who has no compass on right and wrong.

The first time Trump shushes Hillary, the left is going to seize on those optics and that would be his undoing.

As much as I’d LOVE to see it myself.... I’d even love to see him walk over and thump her on the forehead..... it just wouldn’t be good in the end.

"When Cruz refused to answer the question on why he thought Trump didn’t have the temperament to be president, Cruz lost the debate. He wimped out. "

Cruz answered that question the only way that made sense. It really doesn't matter what Cruz thinks of his temperament. The voters will eventually decide whether he has the temperament.

As far as his temperament from this voter's prospective, his response regarding eminent domain and his cheap shot at the very end simply reinforces my opinion that the does not currently have the temperament. Can he develop the needed temperament? I doubt it.

Add to that his obvious lack of understanding of Conservatism, Trump is definitely not my first choice, but against any democrat/socialist, I'd hold my nose, vote for the Donald, and pray for the best.

I know I certainly don't want such a person in office. That's why I am adamantly opposed to Trump. A man who will treat his own wives the way he has, who will cheat with other men's wives and then brag about it, who thinks the government should be able to take someone's home and give it to him has absolutely no moral foundation. The last thing I want in the White House is another reality show...

Although it is certainly ironic for any Trump supporter to attacking Cruz on morals.

That whole ticket thing doesn’t smell right. Last night he said he couldn’t get any tickets, then it was only twenty, now I am hearing two dozen. what is the real number he got? How many did the other candidates get? Who controlled the allocation, ABC or the RNC? Is this just Trump being mad that he got booed and looking for a scapegoat?

little integrity Cruz has

The superflous gripes are getting gut renching.
On the other hand which Candidate has not been accused of the same. Carson not long ago was accused of embellishing the story about getting a free ride to West Point. Carson then whined about media treatment of him claiming has was subjected to investigation of his past with “more fervor than any other presidential candidate in prior elections” Whining seems to be the Dr Carson’s MO.

Cruz offered his apology to Carson for what was done which Carson says he accepted and at that point he should have dropped it instead of making what appeared to be a back handed stab. Carson’s own actions led up to this mess by his campaign invented a silly story about going to Florida “for a change of clothes” which CNN pick up on and insinuated Carson was not serious about his Presidential run!

More important, did any of this really affect the Carson’s vote? Carson poll numbers forecasted that he would get 8% of the total vote. He got 16% more than the poll projected. No indication that the CNN story had anything to do with his poor showing. It also was no secret that Carson’s campaign had been troubled. His “campaign manager and some 20 other staff members quit” in December last year and he just cut 50 more and is cutting salaries on the rest!

Here is what this site says about Carson’s whining!

“Edward Foley, an election law professor at Ohio State University, said Trump hasn’t shown any evidence that the Cruz campaign’s statement about Carson affected a single vote, let alone how the candidates ranked.” “It’s important to recognize that there may be some hyperbole and bluster here,” Foley said. “

More important is what Cruz says he will do about the IRS, Amnesty, Obamacare!
