You labeling something standard does not make anything standard. If you understand anything about federal legislation you would not allow something to the floor - that is the big vote. Voting cloture on TPA for Obama - and who in their right mind would do that - is the big vote. Cruz's donors were salivating to get TPA to Obama, hence TPP. If you don't give Obama authorization then you don't have TPP... get it.

Same thing with Corker, your buddy Ted voted Corker which eliminated the 2/3 Senate treaty vote. He knew what he was doing just like TPA. First Cruz guarantees passage... then he votes against it to cover his butt with the flock. Simple

I do believe that Cristie is an American first guy - just to liberal I wish he was as straight acting as he is straight talking.

But you are the one who is totally wrong. Trump has repeatedly said that he would “expedite” the return of the “good ones”, newly made legal, after they fly home. I watched multiple rallies and interviews this fall where Trump underscored “expedited”.

That is the classic GOPe “touchback” amnesty position of a decade ago—when they were trying to come up with some way to sneak amnesty by their base.

I am sure that you can get away with misrepresent Mr. Trump’s positions to people who haven’t been following things closely, but it doesn’t fly with those who have. It just makes you look silly. Every one knows what you are referring to and why. Mr. Trump has never advocated for any one who has been living here illegally to have any advantages over people who have been going through normal legal immigration channels for re-entry into the country at a later date.

I didn't watch the debate last night, pressing matters. But, I looked at the thread this morning and I've got to say jwalsh07, having read most of your posts, you're like a turd in a punch bowl. I don't think anything made you happy, especially Trump. Rather than being nasty, why don't you try to convince people of your choice in the horse race.
