I was listening to Mark Levinâs radio show last night during which he expressed his frustration with how the GOP has allowed itself to be mired in meaningless âscandalsâ at the expense of making a clear case for conservatism and addressing policy. I agree with him. It is absolutely unbelievable to me that despite having a very strong lineup of candidates, on tp of 8 years of disastrous progressive liberalism, we could be in danger of losing this nation to a SOCIALIST?
While the media (even on our side) obsesses over tweets, there are critical issues we should be discussing. But that doesnât meet the mediaâs agenda. Nor does having a strong conservative do well.
Levin pointed out some statistics from Iowa, as reported by the Weekly Standard, which youâll find shocking.
As has been widely reported, Donald Trumpâs appeal has mostly been to blue-collar voters, and he has risen to the top of the polls by blasting open-border immigration policies and the business-as-usual way of Republicanâand Americanâpolitics. It is therefore striking that the Iowa entrance polling suggests that Trump lost among blue-collar voters (or, more specifically, among voters without college degrees) to Ted Cruz.
[Levin points out that two-thirds of the population do NOT have college degrees, so this a crucial data point]
According to entrance polling, among the roughly half of all Republican voters without a college degree, Cruz won 30 percent of the vote, eclipsing Trumpâs 28 percent. Marco Rubio was a distant third, winning the support of just 17 percent of voters without college degrees.

The people who turned out were not the ones the pollsters projected. On the night of the caucus, I thought people were making a mistake when they assumed all the new voters had to be for Trump.
As a Cruz supporter I am happy about the win in Iowa, however I don’t consider it a true test. I feel the same about NH. Neither state should get as much credibility as they do. They are not clear reflections ofthe nation...at least we better hope they aren’t!
The article says that the establishment is afraid of Cruz. Nope. It’s not. Cruz gets his money from globalist establishment, and he will support their agenda. He won’t argue about borders being open. He might get a few things to go his way, but the bulk of what he does will benefit the establishment. He has no senatorial record to prove otherwise.
The establishment insults the voters calling them uneducated, or blue collar, or whatever euphemisms might fit that bill. Yet those are the very ones they lie to in order to change their minds and vote differently??
Disgusting.
Trump wasn’t expected to do much of anything when he first ran out of the gate onto the track. Bush was expected to take a bunch according to the establishment. Trump did much better than even HE thought he would! Cruz lies and steals from Carson and claims a victory?
The establishment is selling our country down the river, but sooner or later they will all have to pay the fiddler. Regardless of what happens, it’s in God’s hands. Not the establishment’s.
Fear of YHVH is the beginning of wisdom, and the establishment is severely lacking.
That would be my choice as well...
Depends on what’s meant by “test”
For presenting different messages to different audiences, transitioning between messages, building organization and GOTV/Turnout systems, the early primaries are really excellent test environments.
Let’s keep trusting the Lord and our powder (of freedom advocacy) dry.
America has always been, is now, and will always be in God’s hands. America was God’s idea, not man’s. May God bless her still and bring her restoration of freedom one last time in these last days.
God bless.
I also agree.. LOVE your tagline
“It is therefore striking that the Iowa entrance polling suggests that Trump lost among blue-collar voters (or, more specifically, among voters without college degrees) to Ted Cruz.”
“[Levin points out that two-thirds of the population do NOT have college degrees, so this a crucial data point]”
Seemingly he thinks the uneducated masses will be an asset for Cruz.
Levin is sounding desperate. I wouldn’t call 30% over 28% eclipsing.
So now a son of a fiance is “family”? Who knew.
I wouldn’t word it exactly like you did but what you said is absolutely correct. He could never win the general election.
Dang, man, mental contortion to figure all this stuff out. Kind of a waste IMO. I just hope Trump pulls it off.
I agree.
Well said Prairie Lady.
Yet another Cruz thread packed with their patented `gas-lighting’.
The globalists, cheap labor express and GOP-e are fronting two Cubans to cover their bets, both Washington insiders and Inner Party stalwarts, and they try and pass the foreign-born one off as an American Hero and White Knight.
If you point out the truth, as you did, they turn up the gas, so get ready for in-coming.
You’re exactly right: Trump took it from Jeb, then Count Dracula, skulking behind and feigning friendship, moved in with all of his wolves, jackals and other `children of the night’—right behind the lion Trump.
Gaslighting or gas-lighting is a form of mental abuse in which information is twisted or spun, selectively omitted to favor the abuser, or false information is presented with the intent of making victims doubt their own memory, perception, and sanity.
Instances may range simply from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents ever occurred, up to the staging of bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting the victim.
The term owes its origin to the 1938 play Gas Light and its film adaptations. The term has been used in clinical and research literature.
Did-a-chick ... dad-a-chack ... dum-a-chum! The Cruzeros never stop, always questioning, always accusing, their claws clicking, raising them in the air, relentlessly attacking Trump and anyone who does not pay obeisance or refuses to shill their little tin god.
With Trump what you see is what you get—you don’t get this bogus package of carefully marketed, scripted and push-polled BS called Rafael Eduardo Cruz.
One Manchurian candidate is enough!
Yeah, we can spin the hype too, just like the Canadian constitutional expert and originalist. Quit lying Cruzeros, and give us a break from the constant agit-prop articles, the Chinese torture, `Death By A Thousand Drips’. Since a fish rots from the head down, maybe you can’t help yourselves. But try.
Maybe this is one of those debating techniques: If you want to make your side appear more important, use astronomical language.
One thing I hope lots of supporters on all sides, is to learn that many "respected" polls are wrong!!!
Not sure about their methodology but when so many are so far off, newly excited supporter's hopes are not only dashed but many jump to conclusions that something MUST be wrong, somewhere and cheating is the only explanation they can think of!
Sadly political candidate neophytes (Trump and Carson come to mind) believe the same and encourage their followers to take up that banner for them.
Politics is a blood sport but trying to gauge the voters so many months ahead of actual voting, think crowds cheering Trump in Phoenix in August, will be the samp people going to community centers in January in Iowa!
People are jaded today and their attention spans are equal to the flight of a hummingbird!
So do un-brainwashed college men like me.
No. The key point is, large numbers of non-college people are beginning to burn through the Obama unemployment smokescreen and light up the fact that they and theirs have suffered under both Dubya and Obama, but especially the latter, and that guys like Obama and The Bern are going to make things worse not better.
Both Trump and Cruz are benefiting from this blue-collar reassessment, Cruz a little more so than previously thought.
Too, some of Trump's blue-collar "Reagan Democrats" that he had a lock on three weeks ago may have begun to look elsewhere after sizing up Trump's overall game.
It’s Levin’s theory, not mine. Better not tell him. He’s already in meltdown mode and it might push him over the edge.
WEST didn't write the article...........but you knew that. LOL!
