he establishment media and Iowa Caucus losers Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Marco Rubio have been savaging Ted Cruz and his campaign team for the tactics that helped Senator Cruz win the Hawkeye State's first-in-the-nation election contest.
But we think that Republicans, and especially conservatives, should celebrate the fact that they have a candidate and a campaign team in the race that are smart, technologically savvy, in the moment, right on the issues and ruthless enough to use every issue and advantage they can identify to win.
First, let's knockdown the ludicrous charge by Donald Trump (repeated to our disappointment by our friend Sarah Palin) that Cruz engaged in some kind of "fraud" in Iowa.
After we got done laughing at the idea that repeating a rumor about another campaign amounted to actionable "fraud" we watched the respected Judge Andrew Napolitano take apart the legal argument on Megyn Kelly's Fox News show The Kelly File.
Judge Napolitano pointed out that...

Concise. Pithy. And spot on there Aunt B. Btw Love Mulberry.
Four more days, Feb. 9 and the celebrations can start a new. The question becomes
who will doing the celebrating that night?
So I presume all the crap donnie has thrown around from the F word and all the other immature insults is not a sign of poor character? Calling a woman’s face ugly? Nasty? Crap? Liars? And no telling what other insults he calls FELLOW republicans.
Game on Cruz!
Trump has yet to get his ground game up to speed.
“indicates a scummy sleazy character (yes).”
So did you used to be for partial-birth abortion and donate to Harry Reid, Pelosi, and Cuomo too?
My Danish wife says Back off! :)
1. Do you think that the Dems will play the cute, squishy tactics some want, or will they play political hardball.
2. Do you think that the GOP has played nicey nice campaigns the last couple of elections and how did that work out?
3. The Cruz campaign displayed a knowledge of technology that hasn't been employed since the 2004 Bush campaign. Sorry to burst anyone’s bubble, but they did nothing against the law, or unethical. The Carson campaign is in it's death rattle right now. The Rubio campaign tried to take advantage of it but weren't savvy enough. Wouldn't it be nice to have a GOP campaign that would be smart and tough for a change?
So now we’ve cycled out from “he ain’t do muffin wrong” to “OMG he is so tough and ruthless”?
Politics is a blood sport. Get over it rinos.
“Religious ecstasies on stage!”

Are we back to talking about the Mouth of Manhattan attempting to use the A.C. Politicians to steal an old Women's home again.
Sheesh, let it go. We know he's a sleazebag. ;)
Their candidate cannot run on a conservative record, so they pull an OBAMA...destroy the candidate with personal attacks and smears.
The main thing Trump accomplished in IA, though, is to egg Cruz into coming out as the calculating, underhanded, typical lawyer/politician he really is. Trump knows how to toss around the hyperbole and he knows how to climb down and say, "forget about it" at which time he does forget and won't get dragged back into it. He's achieved his goal so the hyperbole is over, that simple.
All the cheering the Cruz crowd are doing over 1 more delegate than two other candidates is nothing but whistling past the graveyard. Cruz knows, and any of his supporters who are honest with themselves know, that Cruz needed to win by ten or fifteen points or he wasn't going to get the momentum he was counting on having.
Rubio isn't coming out of nowhere. He's just picking up the support and money that was waiting in the wings to see if Cruz could pull it off at which time the Establishment, including Rush, would have embraced him. The main bone of contention "those Republicans" have with Ted is that he didn't wait his turn like a good team player. Nothing else. They know he has the right AKC papers, rolled over on the TPA, rolled over on Iran, and isn't making a big deal about the Ryan budget or Ryan priorities. IOW, Ted's solidly in the club when push comes to shove.
Trump's the only one who will do what has to be done on both trade and immigration. People who claim their theoretical Conservative principles are more important to saving the patient than stopping the bleeding are either stupid or every bit as much a part of the Establishment as those they whine about.
Or perhaps it was his bragging of conquering other Men’s Wives?
No thanks, I donât think celebrating sleaze is something I want to participate in.

Like Trump celebrating cheating on his wife’s?
:D
“the entire case against Cruz has been one fabrication after another.”
Point them out.

I thought you support Trump.
Promising people the Kingdom somewhere down the road sells well and keeps a lot of people from noticing that the huckster selling the Kingdom is busy sawing off one of their legs. Add to that a fine Princeton/Harvard education heavily oriented toward justifying why the little people have to be ruled by their betters and you have one fine lawyer.
Don't worry, though, this time "our" lawyer is better than their lawyer.
Medved hates Cruz with the intensity of a thousand burning suns.
