'I don't think so, darling': Donald Trump dismisses woman defending illegal immigration

Donald Trump held a town-hall-style event on Thursday, and his first question was from a woman who appeared to criticize his hard-line approach to illegal immigration.
The woman began by saying she was from Southern California.
"You live in Southern California? What are you doing here? Are you a liberal Democrat, by any chance?" Trump joked at the Exeter, New Hampshire, event.
She continued by saying she had friends who immigrated to the US illegally.

Trump responded by accusing her of asking the question on behalf of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont), a left-wing Democratic candidate.
"Who told you to be here? Bernie?" he asked her. "No, no, this is a Bernie plant. This is a Bernie plant. All right, OK, I understand your question."
The questioner no longer had her mic after that, but the same woman reportedly then yelled at Trump that immigrants were part of the backbone of the US.
"I don't think so, darling," Trump shot back. "I don't think so. I don't think so. No, I don't think so. They're not the backbone."

Trump continued:
Let me just tell you something, you know what the backbone of our country [is]? People that came here and they came here legally. People that came to this country legally. And they worked their a— off and they made the country great. That’s the backbone.

He is awesome. If America doesn’t elect a President Trump then the country deserves the disaster to come.
She has “friends” who came to the U.S. illegally? She must not be a taxpayer.

Trump’s “abrasive” way of communicating is very important: America is being CONTROLLED by a Media/Government who are PUNISHING people who refuse to engage in group-think....Trump’s winning of the Presidency is more important than anything he might do after because it would EMBOLDEN those who want to be able to communicate without fear of Big Brother.

Now THIS is the Donald Trump I have been rooting for since the beginning. If he talks like this, he wins, if he gets into fights with Cruz, he loses. This is the kind of stuff that made Trump popular to begin with, and he should continue doing it. So this woman has friends here illegally, good, give me their addresses so that INS can come pick em up and ship them back across the border where they came from

Probably most people that work in Trump hotels came here illegally. Think Trump considers some of them friends?
Point is that it’s a delicate issue. I support Trump but even he better get his ducks in a row because I’m still yet to hear a substantive answer on his plan besides they (illegals) will leave and then quickly come back. What the hell does that mean or accomplish? I’d like these questions answered before it’s Hillary asking him such questions.

We just watched the rebroadcast of this and I thought it was one of his better presentation. Mostly issues and solutions. The “protesters” were actually polite, and he answered her/their questions. I loved his description of the real backbone of the country.
